Incredibly rare BEATLES CHRISTMAS picture discs. This is a chance in a lifetime to own this fabulous set, JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS!  Only 1,000 sets were made, each individually numbered. This set is No. 240. Between 1963 and 1969 the Beatles Fan Club sent free 7 inch Christmas records to their fan club members. The discs contained skits, messages and brief songs which were otherwise unavailable. The disks were flexi's made by the Lyntone company, and each of them came in special picture sleeve. These special records were never available for sale in stores.
This set of facsimile pictures discs contains the original messages and replicas of the covers the original flexi-discs came in. The discs are contained in a lavish vinyl folder, in individual plastic sleeves. These are not flexi-discs, but full vinyl pressings.
Also included are replicas of the original Official Beatles Fan Club Christmas Newsletters for 1964, 1965, 1966 and 1967.  Discs 1-5 are one-sided, as were the original flexi-discs. The discs were mastered from original tapes by Chessire Discs, Ltd, London SW18 5AL.
This set has NEVER BEEN PLAYED and we assume that the discs are in mint condition. Picture discs can contain more surface noise than black vinyl pressings and are more prone to clicks and pops, due to the manufacturing process. The vinyl folder is in near mint condition, showing very little wear. The Official Beatles Fan Club logo is stamped on the back in gold, as is the set number (240 of 1000).
As a special bonus to the winner of this auction, we will include an ORIGINAL FLEXI-DISC from 1967 ABSOLUTELY FREE, when you make payment in full by PayPal within two days of the end of the auction. This ORIGINAL flexi-disc has some creases and the cover is showing some signs of age, but it's FREE!!
