AUSTRALIAN  BOXED COLLECTION from EMI "THE BEATLES COLLECTION"

CAUTION - THE BOX TOP HALF HAS 4 SPLIT CORNERS AND IS REPAIRED, THE DISCS ARE MUCH BETTER.

8.5 MINUTE Sound sample is of course, of the very well known hit, OB LA DI OB LA DA, WHERE THERE IS A VISIBLE SCRATCH, (SEE PHOTO 14) PLAYS UPTO 2 MIN 40SECS, THEN A GAP TO 3 MIN 5 SECS WHERE ABBEY  RD 'OH DARLING' FOLLOWED BY 'OCTOPUS'S GARDEN' at 6 mins 35 sec PLAYS  the rest of the sampled tracks, WHERE VISIBLE SCUFFS OR SCRATCHES OCCUR AND THEY seem to be the most obviously played discs, therefore tracks sampled,  to let you know how good the condition is of every other BETTER disc  (All  THE REST are pretty much Near Mint DISCS)

all EXCEPT 3 DISCS  regarded as NM (visual grading, some spot tests) except sound sample disc (THE BEATLES WHITE ALBUM VG), HAS A VISIBLE AND AUDIBLE SCRATCH THROUGH OB-LA-DI OB-LA-DA, (photo 14) AND

(ABBEY ROAD VG)with a couple of scuffs VISIBLE IN ROOM LIGHT.  THOSE ARE ALSO VISIBLE IN SEPERATE PHOTO'S, NO. 19 AND 20)

(RUBBER SOUL VG)NOT IN SOUND SAMPLE. NO AUDIBLE EFFECT FROM LIGHT SCRATCH THRU 'BABY YOU CAN DRIVE MY CAR'

THERE is the strong chance due to lack of spindle trails or wear on centre hole MOST of these lp's have never been played IN FACT BEATLES FOR SALE UNIQUE OZ COVER STILL HAS A PRESSING SWATHE IN THE SPINDLE HOLE THEREFORE HAS NEVER BEEN ON A TURNTABLE( SEE PHOTO 21)

POOR CONDITION, SADLY, THE CLOSING LID HAD ALL FOUR CORNER SPLITS WHICH I HAVE TAPED ON THE INSIDE WITH CLOTH REINFORCED WHITE TAPE, (SEE PHOTO'S), ALSO THE BOX HAS CONSIDERABLE EXTERNAL RUBS  (SEE PHOTO) 

I WAS GOING TO PUT CLEAR TAPE ON THE OUTSIDE ,BUT DECIDED THE WINNER CAN DECIDE HOW BEST TO REPAIR IT FOR THEMSELVES, WITH ALL 4 CORNERS TORN, IT PROBABLY NEEDS TAPING OUTSIDE TO SECURE THE STRENGTH IN THE BOX FOR THE  LONG TERM.

 COVERS-   A FEW WITH LIGHT   ringwear,  3 ARE NM condition

LP' s visually look mostly unplayed, sound sample of ABBEY RD AND WHITE ALBUM OB LA DI OB LA DA,  as that is probably played the most, also has a light scuff across that track, no audible effect

OTHER LPs are shiny with  very few paper scuffs  visible in room light .

LP's were clean, light dust and a few spindle marks on some sides labels,

NONE ARE WASHED, ALL SOLD AND PARTIALLY TEST PLAYED AS IS.

Mailing costs will be significant as complete box and packing will weigh in just under 3.5 Kg  YOU ARE ABOUT TO FIND OUT WHY AUSTRALIAN ARE THE ONLY ONES ABLE TO AFFORD THE POSTAGE ...........
