The Deccagone Singles are a set of seven 45's pressed on color vinyl, featuring songs from The Beatles' now famous and ill-fated Decca audition on January 1,1962. John, Paul, George and Pete performed 15 songs for producer Tony Meehan.The mysterious, long-thought-to-be-lost tape remained unheard all these years. What's more, no one knew for sure which songs were actually performed.

That is, until 1977. That's when Joe Pope, publisher of the Beatles fanzine Strawberry Fields Forever, obtained a copy. He used this "treasure trove" audition tape to produce seven 45 singles. Initially, these "Promotional Use Only" records, on the Deccagone label, were sold exclusively to the fanzine's members. Shortly there after, these songs were included in a bootleg album entitled, The Deccagone Sessions.
