BEATLES EXCELLENT "NOWHERE MAN" 45 WITH ULTRA-RARE STARKEY CREDIT, PLUS WEST COAST PICTURE SLEEVE!
Here’s an outstanding Beatles win-win!
The “Nowhere Man” original 1966 picture sleeve is the much-rarer WEST COAST version, with die-cut tab insert. And a strong sleeve it is, with no seam splits, no marks, no writing, no labels, and not even a HINT of ringwear.
And talk about RARE! When the first pressing of “Nowhere Man” / “What Goes On” was released, there was something missing: namely, Ringo’s NAME, as co-songwriter on the B-Side with John and Paul.
When asked what his contribution was, Ringo responded,"[I wrote] about five words to 'What Goes On' and I haven't done a thing since." Actually, researchers later noted that that the drummer’s contribution was the lyric "Waiting for the tides of time."
The next pressing of the single—made in much fewer quantities after the initial sales—corrected the B-Side songwriting credit to read Lennon-McCartney-Starkey.
The sound on the 45 is as clean as they come! I play-tested both sides and there were no skips, no pops, no nothing but what The Beatles intended! There’s a small number sticker on the A-Side, and minor rubbing on both sides. No writing, no scrapes, no tears.
