Mega Rare UK Parlophone Export Press!

This auction is for a very rare pressing of the Beatles single 'Hey Jude / Revolution'. This is the mega rare EXPORT pressing and is on the Parlophone label!

When this single was released in the UK it was issued on the newly formed Apple label. However, EMI also pressed a very small, limited run of copies that were intended for export only. These copies appeared on the Parlophone label and, I'm going to assume here, were intended for export to countries where Apple was not yet registered as a record label. Seeing as this one is in a Swedish issue picture sleeve, I'm assuming that this is where this copy was exported to.

Picture Sleeve : VG+


The original company sleeve is included and is holding up very nicely for its age. The front retains its original colour and has a little wear and creasing around the edges. There's a small 1" tear by McCartney on the mouthedge at the right. All seams are holding fine with no splits or tears. The back has discoloured slightly and there's a little disc impression and some light stains in a couple of places, but overall the sleeve is looking very nice. The paper used to make these sleeves is fragile and most examples turn up pretty rough. This, however, looks very nice!   Disc (Visually Graded Only!!) : EX


The playing surface has a really nice, clean shine to it and just a little scuffs in places. Looking remarkable for its age! Nice example!

Labels : EX-


The labels are looking really clean with bright, silver text. just one very faint, light little spindlemark on the Hey Jude label, a little moreso on the Revolution label. There's a small, pink blob of what I'm going to assume is nail polish on the Revolution label. Overall, though, the labels are very ,very clean and look great!
