Description
You are bidding on an original first pressing of the Beatles For Sale album, released in 1964 in the U.K. on the Parlophone label, PCS 3062. There were a total of 8 pressings of this release on EMI/Parlophone through 1987, but this one was the first.
Some of the details of this particular release are as follows..
Release date December 4, 1964, stereo. Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. inside flapback sleeve. Laminated front and back sides. With the outline "stereo" on the front.
Black label with yellow logo and silver print. "The Parlophone Co. Ltd" is printed at the start perimeter print. "Recording first published 1964" and "Sold in U.K subject.." text.
Tracing-paper lined "Use Emitex" die-cut inner sleeve. Matrix numbers: Side 1 YEX 142-1; Side 2: YEX 143-1.
Both the sleeve and the record are in VG+ condition. I played the record all the way through recently and there are no defects on either side. Gatefold sleeve is in great shape with no markings or tears anywhere (see attached photos.)
My future wife received this as a gift from a girlfriend in England back in the Beatlemania craze days.. it has been in storage the majority of the time since then.
