BEATLES – ‘Five nights in a Judo Arena’ on clear vinyl, LP.

TSP 011 – Mono- Black and Silver ‘Swingin Pig !’  labels.

An unusual pressing, the vinyl is made from ‘clear translucent vinyl’, the album is made from a live recording made at the ‘Budokan Hall’, in Tokyo on the 30th June 1966. 

The text on the sleeve and labels say, ‘Swingin Pig records’,  1989 Luxembourg, made in the EEC. 

The record begins with a local Japanese introduction as the Beatles can be heard ‘tuning up’ then theres the usual screams from the audience together with the usual humour from the Beatles. At the end of side two there is an interview with the Beatles where they discuss amongst other things the group recently being awarded  their MBEs.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE:  is in excellent condition, the spine is in very good condition and most of the text can be read. The four corners of the sleeve have remained sharp. There are NO splits, tears, stains, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. 

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent condition and is the original black and white cartoon style sleeve, it is polylined. The sleeve has NO pen writing, tears, stains, stickers or sticker residue.   There is  a split  to one of the sides  of the sleeve.

THE VINYL:  is in excellent condition, it has an excellent  glossy surface. The vinyl is made from an unusual ‘clear transparent vinyl’  and is made from  thick, heavy vinyl.

The matrix  nos. are:   side one  ‘ TSP LP  0 /\  /\  A’   and  side two  ‘ TSP LP  0  /\   /\    B ’, they are hand etched,  the ‘run off’ grooves have additional text  hand etched each side,  that looks like the name  ‘ G Parnes ’ !

The Mother/Stampers are:    N /  A.

THE AUDIO:  is excellent, the recording and its content are as good as it can be for a live  concert recording made in 1966. The vinyl lays flat on the turntable and plays well without any sticking or jumps from the needle.

THE LABELS: side one is in MINT condition and looks unplayed,   side two is in near MINT condition and looks like a one play !. The labels are black and silver, see photo.  The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
