Description
"Beatles For Sale"...
Issued on 4th December 1964...On Parlophone...PMC 1240...UK pressing in mono....It has a laminated "Unipak" sleeve (The record enters INSIDE the gatefold)..No sleeve manufacturer..Complete with Emitex inner sleeve...It has "Parlophone" label rim text and "Sold in the UK" and "Recording First published"...The KT tax code is still visible on the B side label.....
The matrix numbers are:
Side 1:..XEX 503 4N...
Side 2:..XEX 504 4N...
The mothers and stampers are:
Side 1:...2 5 RTO...The 5 is below the 2...The 2 may not have anything to do with the mother number...(It CAN'T be the 25th mother!)...
Side 2:...1 RLH...
The last track has a visible scuff...Otherwise the record looks GREAT with only a couple of light hairlines...It still has a nice sheen as well...Both sides play perfectly!...No clicks or pops,no surface noise,no sticking or jumping and a big,fat clean sound!...However,there is a slight edge warp,but this has no affect on play (see video)...
The labels are undamaged with untarnished and clearly legible text...The centre holes (which are slightly worn white around their inner edges) show some spindle trails (not excessive)....
The sleeve has a couple of small defects:...A very slight corner bend (front top right) which is mirrored on the back flap...Very slight cornerwear...A couple of stress marks to the laminate on the back...Just a vague hint of ringwear...There are no major defects or damage....It's a VERY clean sleeve!..
The Emitex inner has only light creasing...
So...The sleeve has only light defects and despite a slight edge warp,both sides play perfectly!...
