Another from my personal collection of more than 1000 UK Beatles albums that I have acquired over the past 45 years or more! This album has obviously only had very minimal play only ,it has been stored in a case with the vinyl removed from the cover for protection for over 40 years or more. This is how I have always stored my records!
I have and own most of the UK variations for this album that I know of and here is a very scarce and hard to find with the E.Day printed cover much more desirable than the more common Garrod & Lofthouse printed version.  This is the original and 1st UK pressing totally complete with the original Emitex Poly lined record sleeve. Unbelievable to find like this. 50 years old!
The condition is the uppermost importance here in my opinion this is absolutely stunning and the vinyl and audio is as good as it gets in my opinion. The cover is laminated much more desirable and with the rarest and scarcest to find E.Day & co printed much rarer than the common Garrod & Lofhouse printed version. Rough textured 1st issue Parlophone labels are clean and tidy.
The Vinyl is the heavier and more substantial type of vinyl than later flimsy pressings available.  Makes all the difference for the best audio quality in my opinion with no audio sounding marks or scratches and plays near as mint on my systems.  Very sought after and collectable like this!  Listen to the complete lp recorded for you to hear for yourself in the player below!

A HARD DAY'S NIGHT is the third album by the Beatles, released in the UK on 10 July 1964 as the soundtrack to their first film of the same name. The album was released on 26 June in the U.S. by United Artists Records with a slightly different track listing!




This is the first Beatles album to be recorded entirely on four-track tape, allowing for good stereo mixes.




In contrast to their first two albums, all 13 tracks on A Hard Day's Night were written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, showcasing the development of the band's songwriting talents. The album contains some of their most famous songs, including the title track, with its distinct, instantly recognisable opening chord,[4] and the previously released "Can't Buy Me Love"; both were transatlantic number-one singles for the band.




The title of the album was the accidental creation of drummer Ringo Starr. According to Lennon in a 1980 interview with Playboy magazine: "I was going home in the car and Dick Lester [director of the movie] suggested the title, 'Hard Day's Night' from something Ringo had said. I had used it in 'In His Own Write', but it was an off-the-cuff remark by Ringo. You know, one of those malapropisms. A Ringo-ism, where he said it not to be funny ... just said it. So Dick Lester said, 'We are going to use that title.'"





In 2000, Q placed A Hard Day's Night at number five in its list of the 100 Greatest British Albums Ever.In 2012, A Hard Day's Night was voted 307th on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time"





Musically, A Hard Day's Night eschews the rock and roll cover songs of the band's previous albums for a predominantly pop sound. Sputnikmusic's Dave Donnelly observes "short, peppy" pop songs characterised by layered vocals, immediate choruses, and understated instrumentation. According to Pitchfork Media's Tom Ewing, the lack of rock and roll covers allows listeners to "take the group's new sound purely on its own modernist terms", with audacious "chord choices", powerful harmonies, "gleaming" guitar, and "Northern" harmonica. Music journalist Robert Christgau writes that Lennon–McCartney's songs were "more sophisticated musically" than before.




Side one of the LP contains the songs from the movie soundtrack. Side two contains songs written for, but not included in, the film, although a 1980s re-release of the movie includes a prologue before the opening credits with "I'll Cry Instead" on the soundtrack.




A Hard Day's Night is the first Beatles album to feature entirely original compositions, and the only one where all the songs were written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Lennon dominates the song writing being the primary author of ten out of the thirteen tracks on the album, all except "And I Love Her," "Can't Buy Me Love," and "Things We Said Today." This is also one of three Beatles albums, along with Let It Be and Magical Mystery Tour, in which Starr does not sing lead vocal on any songs. Starr sang the lead vocal on "Matchbox" during the sessions; it appeared instead on the Long Tall Sally EP.

The Vinyl

This is the original thicker , (Very important), heavier chunky slab of vinyl only found like this on the earliest original pressings! (Later press are much more flimsier and less robust)! The vinyls playing surface is lovely and very clean indeed!

The vinyl lays perfectly flat on the turntable and is free of any warps. The vinyl has retained its original sheen from new in my opinion on initial inspection this looks like it has obviously not been played much at all in my opinion, at least I find it hard to just only see very very feint, light spider marks if looked at hard in strong light only. Unbeleivable rare to find like this!  On close inspection any marks that could possibly be seen would be very light sleeve removal, to be honest I struggle to see a mark at all.  Importantly there are no audio sounding marks or needle marks that would cause any clicks ticks or or pops that I heard at all! (To be honest I find it hard to even see a blemish at all on the playing surface)

The audio quality

I have played this track for track at very loud volume prior to listing on a top system, importantly using a dedicated mono cartridge. From the moment that the needle hits the playing surface , it is obvious that this vinyl not only visually but audibly has only had very, very minimal play only! The audio is stunning cristal clear and vibrant, very bright and clear throughout without any signs of distortion at all and plays with a lovely deep bassey feel only found like this on earliest Mono pressings! I would grade the audio near as mint in my opinion! (I don't think that you will find better very rich and vibrant through out)

Unbelievably rare to ever find like this.

The Labels

These are the original and earliest Two Boxed Parlophone EMI labels feature   ''The Parlophone Co...'' rim text (only 1st press ) Sold In Te UK...." text across the labels (Only 1st Press) K.T. Tax code stamped on side 2 (Correct for this pressing) The labels are very clean ! all text is fully readable. It is obvious to me that this vinyl has only has barely been played in my opinion. Amazingly I struggle to see no more than a few very feint light spider marks only ,   the spindle hole is free of any  ware and of course is perfectly round!

The Record Sleeve

This is the original EMITEX poly lined record sleeve no splits or tares just light fading/browning with age becoming fragile. Actually very straight indeed a very nice specimen indeed. The vinyl is now always stored separately from the sleeve. This is how I have always stored my records.

The Cover

This Is The Original and rarest to ever find 1st UK issue E.J. Day & Co Laminated front only (only earliest press) Rarest and most scarce with large  flip backs at the rear in absolutely stunning condition through out! (much rarer than the more common Garrod & Lofthouse covers) No splits or tares. The original rounded spine unique to the E.Day covers.  all text is readable! Rare variation with Medium Mono logo on the front (Very desirable) No nasty ringware or rubbing! Just light general laminate only creases and absolutely minute hair lines at the spine and bottom edges to mention and barely noticed at all unless looked for in my opinion. This cover is exceptionally white at the rear with very minor aging not really noticed unless looked for in my opinion. and super glossy laminate..    The cover has always been separated from the vinyl and sleeve for over 40 years! The rear is also lovely and clean and bright very very rare to find indeed again any creases or marks are very feint and you would have to look for them to really notice in my opinion.!  no real ringware or nasty grubbyness! Unbeleivably rare like this! Graded at least excellent if not better in my opinion!
