Another from my personal collection of UK Beatles albums that I have collected over a period of more than 45  years! I have accumilated more than 1000 UK Beatles albums over this period alone! Here on offer is 1st UK pressing of the Beatles Help! (mono) album released in 1965! Features the earliest matrix possible for this pressing -2 -2 matrix endings! What makes this album so special is the absolutely stunning condition of this 45 year old record! The vinyl looks and sounds barely ever played no more than a handful of times in my opinion! As time goes on you will see very very few of these original copies in this condition, they will be swallowed up by avid Beatles collectors! The vinyl is graded at near mint. The awesome audio is graded at near mint, as near as perfect on my systems throughout! This is complete with the original Emetex record sleeve and 1st issue Garrod & Lofthouse flipback cover in top condition also! Please do not underestemate the rarety of this early Beatles album in this awesome condition,, highly sought after and collectable like this!

Beatles fifth Album ''Help!, is the soundtrack album from their film of the same name, Help!.

Produced by George Martin for EMI Records, the album (in its original British form) contains seven songs that appeared in the movie of the same name, and seven that did not, including the most recorded song in history, the Paul McCartney ballad "Yesterday".

The critically acclaimed album also features two trans-atlantic number-one singles: "Ticket to Ride" and the title song. The album shows John Lennon being influenced by Bob Dylan and folk music, with Lennon's "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away" in particular indicating an obvious Dylan influence. In later years Lennon said that the title track of the album was a sincere cry for help, as the pressures of the Beatles' fame and his own unhappiness (what he later called his fat Elvis stage) began to build, and that he regretted turning it from a downbeat Dylanesque song to an upbeat, poppy song because of commercial pressures.

McCartney contributed "Yesterday"; "Another Girl", a fast-moving congo-esque beat pop song; "The Night Before", a standard rock & roll song; and "I've Just Seen a Face", a rollicking Dylanesque folk song often overlooked by fans (and which, along with It's Only Love, appeared on the Rubber Soul album in the U.S.).

George Harrison contributed the low-key "I Need You" and the head-strong "You Like Me Too Much". These were Harrison's first song compositions to be included on a Beatles album since "Don't Bother Me", from 1963's With the Beatles.

The Vinyl

On initial inspection of the playing surface This looks Awesome! Still retaining its original deep glossy sheen from new! LOOK SUPERBE!  It is hard to even see a blemish! Any marks that could possibly be seen would be whispy sleeve removal marks, minor\minute scuff only! Importantly there are no marks that would cause any clicks ticks or crackle at all that I heard! Unbeleivably rare and scarce to ever find!

Importantly this is the original very thick ,heavy and chunky slab of vinyl, only found like this on the earliest pressings!

The Audio Quality

I have carefuly played this through track for track as usual prior to listing at very loud volume on a top system, importantly using a dedicated mono cartridge!, The audio is truly awesome, I would say as good as it gets in my opinion! CRISTAL CLEAR AND VIBRANT ON ALL FREQUENCIES WITH A TRUE BASSEY FEEL! Only found like this on the earliest pressings TOP! NEAR MINT! AUDIO WILL BE HARD TO SURPASS! The vinyl has obviously barely been played and certainly not overplayed! Unbeleivable for an original, Beatles pressing that is 45 years old! This is clear and vibrant with, of course (no) signs of distortion or that this has been over played at all, even in between tracks this is lovely and quiet! In my opinion this looks and plays almost like a new vinyl! Audio graded at least Excellent plus to Near mint throughout!

Please note! I always add this disclaimer! I have given my honest opinion as usual when describing the audio quality. Although I heard no problems at all during the audio. Please allow for the odd isolated static (not consistant throughout the audio) Please remember that this is an original 45 year old vinyl that has been played and would have originally been played on a 45 year old system and would benefit from a clean before each play!

Points to note! This has been stored in a case laying dormant for at least 45 years! From my experiance this vinyl would benefit from a constant clean before each play! A build up of dirt and dust in the grooves over a period of laying dormant, produces static crackle\ticks and constant cleaning reduces this static and subsequently enhances the audio quality!

The labels!

These are the original 1st issue Yellow\Black Parlophone labels features ''recording 1st published 1964'' on the labels Also ''Sold In The UK....'' text across the labels (only early press) ''The Gramophone Co.....'' rim text (only earliest press)Amaizingly any  spidering noticable when angled to the light is minimal only.  (no) spindle ware the hole is perfectly round and very tight around the spindle hole! (SEE PHOTOS) The K.T. tax code is stamped on side 2. (very early and desirable pressing)!

The Record sleeve

This is the original Emitex poly lined paper sleeve with made in Great Britain and patent number. without splits or tares just light creasing with age! Original in superbe condition!

The cover

This is the original 1st UK issue,  laminated front only, Garrod & Lofthouse,  flipback rear gatefold cover! This is in awesome top condition This has been stored in a case seperated from the vinyl in a case which has preserved this for all of this time, which has, amaizingly prevented any real major rubbing or nasty ringware! Super, super glossy laminate! Important note! These covers are very flimsy and fragile by nature, they are rarely seen in this unbeleivable condition! There are no real laminate creases to talk of (see photos) (If looked at angled to the light there is a slight vinyl impression can be seen.) all writing is legable at the spine which is also in unbeleivable condition. ! In general any storageware is very minimal indeed with very minor corner bumping to mention at one corner only bottom right opening edge, not really noticed unless looked for. The rear is truly exceptional, super clean for its age. Any creases areice them in my opinion very minimal and you have to look to not  There are no nasty names written on this cover! There are no splits or tares (no) nasty handwriting Graded as at least excellent to Excellent plus in my opinion! Very, very rare like this!!
