Outline MONO on G&L cover Gramophone Co Ltd Sold in UK label This album is the original pressing, with ‘The Gramophone Co. Ltd’ and ‘Sold in UK’ label text, and the outline MONO lettering on the front cover. The cover is by Garrod & Lofthouse. Original UK mono LP, release date 1965 on the Parlophone label, catalogue number: PMC1255 Matrix nos: side1) XEX549-2 side 2) XEX550-2 Condition of cover/record: EX / EX (Grading as used by Record Collector) The cover has no writing, tears, stickers or glue residue, no wear to top, bottom or spine edges, & no ‘rings’. There is just some wear to the open edge – see photo of rear which is more affected than the front. The wear is concentrated in the middle six or seven inches of the edge. The front has the impression of the record, and two of the longer creases coincide with this impressed mark, and the creases are approximately 2 inches long. The front also has 5 other smaller creases ranging from ½ inch to 1 inch long. The spine is perfect, as is the print. The inner sleeve is white paper – it has some discolouration and a few creases. The two labels each have approx 10 to 15 spindle marks. The record plays with just a few imperfections: there are some crackles on ‘help’ (approx 5 or 6); some clicks on ‘tell me what you see’ (3 or 4); light crackles in background on ‘yesterday’ (they last about half of the duration of the track); finally, there are two crackles on ‘dizzy miss lizzy’. This record was cleaned and played before the auction to ensure accuracy of description. This item has no reserve on it.
