Up for auction is the 12" vinyl LP A Hard Day's Night, the third LP release from the one and only Beatles.

What we have here is the Australian stereo release PCSO-3058 on the orange & black Parlophone label which saw production in Australia in 1972, making this LP an early '70s re-issue of the Beatles third album, originally released in 1964. The numbers etched in the trail-off area are YAPAX1001 and YAPAX1002 respectively.

What a great example of this Australian label style, definitely a great addition to any Aussie Beatles collection! I have no hesitation in rating the vinyl as near mint, indeed it looks to be rarely played. The labels look great and the sleeve is likewise in excellent condition. I've inspected the vinyl closely under natural light and struggle to find a mark on it. If I were being pedantic there are one or two instances of the barest of marks, the slightest scuffs that are barely visible. It is easily as good an example of this vintage of Beatles disc that I've seen.

The record sleeve I would rate as excellent. The front is laminated and looks nice and shiny. Only the most minor of wear along the opening, and a few small creases at the spine, along with a small unidentified spot (~4mm) next to Paul's head at the bottom right. The back also looks nice, just a little ringwear and some small brown marks (along the right side and at top right, see pictures) on this otherwise clean sleeve. There is also absolutely no writing anywhere on the sleeve, quite a rarity in an era when people seemed to love scribbling on their records! The spine looks great, just two or three small crease marks, otherwise the spine print is perfectly clean and visible. You'd honestly struggle to find a better circulated copy of this title.

The labels are in excellent condition, clean and clear. Apart from some minor spindle marks, there are no tears, writing, stamps, stickers etc on the labels.
