Description
Up for auction is a stereo UK 1st pressing of Help. Stereo 1st pressings are harder to find, especially in this condition. This copy has the Yellow & Black Parlophone labels, “Sold in the UK” text, the Gramophone Company edge text, and an “outline” stereo on the cover.
Cat. No. PCS 3071. Matrix: YEX 168-1 & YEX 169-1. Stamper codes: 2/MD & 3/M.
The cover is beautiful, mint (-). There is no edge wear, no spine wear, no corner wear. Under severe bright light there is some barely visible lamination glazing evident and two very small, extremely minor creases. There is no yellowing, front or back. This is a gorgeous cover.
The Emitex inner sleeve is mint (-)
The vinyl is in excellent (-) condition. There are no nasty marks or scratches and the vinyl retains its glossy look. Light paper scuffing and a few hairlines are visible only under strong direct sunlight.
The labels are in excellent (+) condition, with only a few small and faint spindle marks, and a perfect spindle hole.
This copy plays excellent (+). There is only very light crackling and a few very faint clicks, with no nasty pops and no skips. The run-ins to “Help” and “Act naturally”, the first songs each side, have only the faintest crackling. “I’ve just seen a face” has a near silent run in and plays beautifully. “Yesterday” has only very light crackling and a couple very light clicks, it plays very well. This is a great playing UK copy.

The LPs will be shipped using specialty LP packaging materials from Cameron Packaging. LPs will be packaged using either single or double-boxes, cardboard spacers, and bubble wrapping. The vinyl will be in a non-original protective inner sleeve and the original inner sleeve will be securely packed. The vinyl will not be shipped inside the cover.
