Description
Firstly, I am NOT a record dealer, but I am a record collector. The LP's I am selling are from my personal collection that I am selling due to a combination of downsizing and upgrading.
Here is a seriously rare original pre-recorded MONO twin track tape reel-to-reel of the Beatles' 1965 album "HELP!". These reel-to-reel tapes were special order only in the 1960's and are very rare to find today. It plays at 3 3/4 i.p.s. which is the standard speed for pre-recorded tapes. This copy is in great condition - DO NOT MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A COPY! Tapes are great alternatives to vinyl as they use the original Mono mixes, but they don't deteriorate like vinyl. Although due to the way they were made, sometimes the treble suffers in parts. THIS COPY HAS BEEN PLAY TESTED! Unlike 99% of other reel-to-reel tapes you'll see on eBay that are "sold as seen". Why spend money on a tape that may not even be the specified album, when you can be guaranteed that this is the original album?! These tapes were often recorded over, or had had audio added - but this is 100% ORIGINAL!!!
The box is the original 5 inch printed box. It has NO WRITING, NO TEARS and NO STRUCTURAL DAMAGE. The box is a little grubby as it is white, but is very clean. The little pink Tax code star is on the rear, and is perfectly formed (many were smudged). The box has it's original tape insert. I'm grading the box a MEGA STRICT Very Good according to STRICT GOLDMINE GRADING STANDARDS TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT. This tape has not been overgraded in any way.
The tape is on the original EMI spool, and has the original tape leaders at each end. These leaders often get creased and mangled over the years of use, BUT NOT THESE, they are very tidy and well kept. The tape has been correctly spooled ever since I bought it, reducing the risk of dreaded print-through. I HAVE PLAY TESTED THIS TAPE ON TOP QUALITY EQUIPMENT TO TEST FOR ANY FLAWS. The tape plays all the way through and sounds great! The audio is the original 1965 mono mix and is the equivalent of a -1 matrix on vinyl. The only flaw I could find were a few seconds of treble decreasing during 'Ticket To Ride'. Other than that, just the usual wear and tear as should be expected of a tape that's 47 years old. As a result of this brief flaw, I grade it a MEGA STRICT Good++ according to STRICT GOLDMINE GRADING STANDARDS TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT. It has NOT been over graded in any way.
Postage will be £3.00 for First Class post to the UK Only. Mainland Europe (excluding France and Italy) will be £7 for standard delivery. If you're wanting me to post to another country, please ask BEFORE BIDDING! It is my policy not to over-charge on postage, so any over-charges will be refunded. All LP's are sent in custom mailers, with card packing, a protective sleeve and the record removed from the sleeve to avoid damage.
