THE BEATLES - Hey Jude (Apple England - 1969) M-/M-
CPCS 106
Matrix numbers: YEEX-150-1 YEEX 151-1 on a label with an image of a sliced apple in the darker scale.
This is the first press of this unique export press with the first label variations with the “An E.M.I. Recording” text on two lines. Publishing year printed with small copyright symbol (p). Side 1 on the label has two misspellings.
The first error is PAPER BACK WRITER as three words. On later pressings they spell the song PAPERBACK WRITER.
The second error is that the song REVOLUTION is named as plural REVOLUTION"S" with the added 'S"
These two errors indicates that this is the very first edition of this already really rare export album .
The LP is housed in a shining blanc laminated sleeve. A small mark of glue from a sticker can be found on the upper left corner of the front of the sleeve.
Please check my pictures very carefully. One can see on the laminated surface that this copy has been in a shelf for 45 years. I have never seen this album in such perfect condition ever...!!!!
On the back of the sleeve one can find "Printed and made in Great Britain by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. CPCS 106." Patent printed inner bag with the "MADE IN ENGLAND" text.
This LP and the sleeve is as close to "NEW" condition as they ever could be. No doubt that some seller should grade this album as "New".
