I am clearing out some BEATLES and BEATLES-RELATED LPs from my collection, so please check my other auctions.

IN THIS AUCTION: 

·       “IMAGINE” by John Lennon & The Plastic Ono Band (comprised of the following depending on the song: Klaus Voorman, Alan White, Steve Brendel, George Harrison, Nicky Hopkins, Rod Linton, Ted Turner, Rod Linton, John Tout, John Barham, Jim Gordon, King Curtis, and Mike Pinder. 

·       This LP is Apple Records SW - 3379.

·       It was issued September 9, 1971.

·       This LP has Custom Apple Labels. “MFD BY APPLE RECORDS, INC.” is printed on the perimeter of the label.

·       This LP is ALSO in the ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP WITH A VERY RARE STICKER ON IT!!!

·       Some copies were released with 1 of 2 stickers adhered to the shrink wrap: a 2” x 4” yellow rectangular sticker with song titles on it printed in red usually placed on the front cover shrink wrap.

·       The other sticker, found on the back, measures just over 3” x 5”. This sticker is white with blue print and lists the LP title, artist, and song titles. The song title “Oh Yoko!” is misspelled as “Oh Yoke!” on this sticker. THIS IS THE VERY RARE STICKER THAT YOU WILL FIND ADHERED TO THE SHRINK WRAP ON THE BACK OF THE LP IN THIS AUCTION!!!!!!

·       Both of these stickers are incredibly rare as Perry Cox’s book, Price Guide for the Beatles American Records, will confirm!!!!

·       The COVER is graded NICE VG+ CONDITION. It has been largely protected all these 40+ years by the shrink wrap. However, there is very slight wear at the opening and a small staple that once held a price sticker at the top left corner. These minor blemishes and portion of the cover laminate separating on the rear cover along the opening kept me from grading the cover Near Mint. 

·       The SHRINK WRAP has “breathe holes” and some tears. There is a 7-inch tear in the shrink wrap on the front cover (left to right) across John’s upper forehead and hair without loss of any shrink wrap. There is a 5-inch tear in the shrink wrap from the opening right to left below the previous tear with some shrink wrap (about 1-inch x 6-inches) missing near the opening. There is a small 1-inch tear in the shrink wrap at top left just below the staple. Below that is another tear in the shrink with a piece missing (about the size of 2 quarters) and a 3-inch tear with no shrink loss. There is a small nick in the shrink wrap at the bridge of John’s nose. The shrink wrap on the rear cover does not have any tears at all.

·       The white sticker with blue print on the rear shrink wrap shows some light wear on the top half of the sticker.

·       The VINYL is NEAR MINT with just a couple of light surface hairline scuffs.  

·       This LP was also issued with 1 of 2 photo cards that measured 4” x 6”. One photo card shows John holding a pig by the ears. The other photo card, which is included in this auction, shows John and Yoko as characters from mythology, with John playing pipes and Yoko as a wood nymph. This photo card is in Near Mint condition. The photo cards often went missing from the LPs over the years.

·       The LP was also issued with a 22” x 33” POSTER picturing John at his white piano. This poster is also often missing from the LP. The POSTER is ALSO INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION. It came folded inside the LP. It is in NEAR MINT CONDITION.

·       Finally, also included is the DIE-CUT PAPER INNER SLEEVE that has PHOTOS, LYRICS, and CREDITS printed on it. There were 2 different inner sleeves issued with this LP. Earlier inner sleeves did not have the copyright information printed on the sleeve while later inner sleeves did have the Northern Songs copyright printing on the sleeve. The inner sleeve in this auction is the EARLIER INNER SLEEVE that does not have the copyright information after the songs. The sleeve is NICE. Though the paper shows some aging and it has some wrinkles, it has NO seam splits or tears.

·       A VERY NICE LP IN THE SHRINK WRAP WITH A VERY RARE STICKER that is COMPLETE with POSTER, PHOTO CARD and INNER SLEEVE!!!

·       This LP with the sticker simply does not come available very often at all. The only one I’ve seen was auction item 181178288101that recently ended.

FYI: I use Goldmine Grading Standards (G for Good, VG for Very Good, VG+ for Very Good Plus, NM for Near Mint, M for Mint) to VISUALLY grade the LPs and 45s I auction, so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding.
