1970 Beatles Let it Be. One Box EMI Parlophone. PCSM 7096 Stereo NEAR MINT .
This is the seriously rare stunning 1st press copy of The Beatles album 'Let it Be' is pressed on the ONE BOX PARLOPHONE LABEL with the RED APPLE logo AND UK PARLOPHONE EXPORT logo on the back cover. The rarity of this label design cannot be over emphasized as this album was issued virtually worldwide on the standard Apple label. It is almost imposible to find any Parlophone issues at all as the numbers pressed were so low. These copies only existed to be sold to countries where the Apple logo was not yet (or could not be) registered as a company. E.g Sweden, South Africa and New Zealand.
The vinyl was made in New Zealand by 'EMI (New Zealand) Limited and would have been pressed in very very low numbers indeed. The entire poulation of New Zealand C1970 was 2.8 million which is one quater of the London population C1970 at 10 million. With these figures in mind can you imagine the pressing run! It would be tiny in comparison to a UK 1st press. This copy would have been exclusively pressed for the tiny New Zealand market as nearby countries such as Australia had there own versions issued.
The cover alone is of amazing rarity. 'Printed and made in Great Britain by Garrod and Lofthouse Ltd' it is not only in pristine EXCELLENT++ condition, but it features the RED APPLE logo (only issued with the very first pressings before changing to the standard green Apple logo) alongside the UK PARLOPHONE EXPORT LOGO!!!!
The condition of this record also is pristine NEAR MINT. I always refuse to grade at MINT as I have not just walked out of a record store in 1970. But this album IS close, very very close.
Vinyl Condition: The vinyl is in NEAR MINT condition. NO marks at all! Stunning!
Cover Condition: The fully laminated 'Printed and made in Great Britain by Garrod and Lofthouse Ltd', RED APPLE logo / UK PARLOPHONE EXPORT LOGO cover is in stunning EXCELLENT++ condition.
Label Condition: Both labels are in NEAR MINT condition. NO SPINDLE MARKS AT ALL!!!! This is as close to MINT as is possible.
TO SUM IT UP A VERY RARE LABEL DESIGN IN AMAZING CONDITION. THE QUALITY IS SO GOOD IT HAS PROBABLY NEVER BEEN PLAYED. I AM NOT OVER ESTIMATING THIS RECORD!!!!
