Description

THE BEATLES

**Love Me Do**

 **P.S. I Love You**

Parlophone 45 R 4949 45rpm

This fantastically early version features Ringo on Drums ( 4th September 1962 ) compared with Ringo on the Tambourine. Original copies of "Love Me Do" feature the version of the song with Ringo on drums. In order to conform with the Please Please Me album, later issues of the single featured the version with Ringo relegated to tambourine.

A great example of a very hard to find Red Label variation of this 45, both labels have very light use with only light spindle use evident : EXCELLENT condition. There is a letter “M” wrote lightly on side 1 label.

The great sound quality is only slightly marred by some background interference but attains its authentic clarity.

Both sides of the disc have signs of surface use, however, this is not excessive in that there are no deep grooves what-so-ever. The interference is moderate in the first 30 seconds and then diminishes to a low level of interference for the remainder of side 1.

Again, on side 2, the initial 30 seconds or so is moderately noticeable and then diminishes to a low level of interference.

However, it is beautiful and moody and must be graded strictly in Very Good - EXCELLENT condition.

A super Beatle rarity, complete with original Parlophone sleeve in Very Good - EXCELLENT condition.

Look out for my forthcoming auctions of Rare Beatles Lots.
