The BEATLES LP. “Meet The Beatles” from JAPAN. Special edition on RED VINYL, and includes 9 Beatles songs NOT on the US version. An interesting early compilation of rarer tracks all from 1963, 6 from The Beatles PLEASE PLEASE ME album, and 5 from WITH THE BEATLES album, both from 1963. It contains about 9 rarely chosen Beatles songs, such as PLEASE MISTER POSTMAN, LOVE ME DO, ALL MY LOVING, and the rare album track FROM ME TO YOU!!! That did not happen again till 1973, on THE RED ALBUM (1962-1965). This is titled MEET THE BEATLES but it differs greatly from that US album, only 6 songs are on both albums! This is really a “Beatles Greatest Hits of 1963” album. It contains SHE LOVES YOU, TWIST AND SHOUT, I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND, FROM ME TO YOU and PLEASE PLEASE ME. It is another great early LP by the Beatles, released in Japan on Odeon, and the cover was quite similar to the USA release, but some cool color changes to the title. I bought it as an international variant to the US version!! Most songs on this LP rarity early hits, all from 1963 UK records!! Of the 14 songs 10 are from Lennon-McCartney, and 1 from Harrison!! They all come from Singles and LPs from 1963!! This one is still produced by George Martin. Fantastic!! As always!! And now another of the worlds unique, but different, Beatles cover on a record album! A beautiful cover! It attracted me to this record immediately!! It rarely got played, note the limit spindle marks!! The vinyl is graded Goldmine EX, my highest grade for opened items!! It appears lightly played! Fully shiny and no writing! Photos 1-10 are the items for sale, the record, the cover, the lyrics insert, the inner sleeve, all originals. Sorry, No OBI strip!! Photos 11-12 just for fun!! I started collecting worldwide Beatles various albums 55 plus years ago, when I was 12. I took great care of them from the start! I am starting to sell them off. I doubt EMI / Odeon will ever reissue this vinyl LP again, so getting a copy under $100 is a Now or Never proposition!! Additional rarity hits here are: DON’T BOTHER ME, BABY IT’S YOU, and HOLD ME TIGHT. And my favorite from this batch, PS I LOVE YOU!! This LP is an Amazing conglomeration of interesting songs!! Of course every song is a classic, even today, over 55 years later. They all still sound so fresh, with Incredible energy from the Boys as they attack your ears with superb melodies and harmonies! This is a beautiful record, quite wonderful sounding! There was no better sounding vinyl in the world than Japan Odeon Records!!! This LP is well kept and in plastic sleeve since the 70s. I quickly learned to handle them as little as possible, especially one of these Beatles International compilation records which I thought would become rarer and greatly treasured!! This LP has the original BLACK Odeon Labels, and beautiful RED Vinyl, and the 4 page Original Lyrics Sheet, with no writing anywhere, just some age “spots” on the Lyrics Sheet!!
