BEATLES LP Yellow Submarine Apple PCS 7070 MONO 1st press.
On offer is a LOVELY CONDITION Beatles LP entitled Yellow Submarine released in the UK in MONO on Apple PCS 7070 in 1969.
This is a FIRST PRESSING and is VERY RARE in the condition that this one is in.
This rare FIRST PRESSING mono LP has:
· Red lines above & below the rear sleeve notes (see scan).
· Garrod & Lofthouse LP flip-back sleeve with laminated front cover – with NOTHING IS REAL – printed under the LP Title.
· Original Black inner.
· Dark green APPLE label with ‘Sold in UK…’ text.
This LOVELY condition mono LP is described as follow:
· The laminated front cover – and the non -laminated back cover are both in very clean and superb EX to EX+ condition.
· The laminated front cover is very clean (with a lovely sheen) and the colours are very vivid. There are some very minor creases only.
· The non-laminated back has very clear text and is in great condition too. The flip-backs are fully intact and sealed and the red lines (which denote the rare First press) are very sharp. The drawing of the group has retained its superb colouring on the non-laminated back.
· The spine of this rare First Press Mono LP is firm and strong and in summary: the LP sleeve has been well protected ever since purchase.
· The original Die Cut black inner is intact and is in VG+ condition. The disc has been separately housed in a white plain inner – so as to protect the delicate original black Apple inner. Both inners will be supplied to the winner.
· Visually the record is in beautiful EX to EX+ condition with a lovely sheen and with very little sign of play other than a hairline surface mark on Side 2 (Sea of Time): which does not affect play.
· The Matrix numbers are: YEX 715-1 / YEX 716-1.
This is a LOVELY and SUPERB example of the rare First Press MONO issue of The Beatles LP YELLOW SUBMARINE. In this condition it is HIGHLY COLLECTABLE.
Tracks are: Side 1: Yellow Submarine / Only a Northern Song / All Together Now / Hey Bulldog / It's All Too Much / All You Need is Love. Side 2: Pepperland / Sea of Time / Sea of Holes / Sea of Monsters / March of the Meanies / Pepperland Laid Waste / Yellow Submarine in Pepperland.
