Up for bidding is a superb copy of the 1st press UK Let It Be boxed set.  If you have been looking for a box set LIB, this is the one you want.  The set is complete with all original pieces.  This copy was sourced in the UK from the original owner.

Matrix numbers:  YEX 773-2U / YEX 774-2U.  Stamper codes :  1G/AR & G/MT.

The vinyl & labels are easily excellent (+), and more accurately mint (-), near flawless.  This is a superb copy. This is a superb sounding copy with only slight crackling evident on the run-ins and no pops or skips. “Ive got a Feeling” has a bit more than slight crackling on the run in, but moderate at the very most. A good test is “Let It Be” and that song plays very well, only the slightest of minor crackling in the run in.  This is a very strong, excellent sounding copy.       

The LP cover sleeve is fully laminated front and back, with no wear, crisp edges with no wear, no spine wear, no corner wear, no fading with strong colors, and only two of the slightest and small creases, and with the RED apple logo on the back cover.  The condition is a very strong excellent (+).  

The LP inner sleeve is the original white with Patent no. 1.125.55 and Made in England printed on it.  It has a minor small split on the upper left corner.  The condition is excellent (-). 

The fully laminated outer box sleeve has no fading and retains the glossy color.  The edges and corners are excellent, with only a very few minor flaws; the top side edge has four small and minor indentations.  The condition is severely rated at excellent to maybe excellent (-). 

The two part cardboard tray has no creases or fading and is very strong.  The outer tray is excellent, with no flaws.  The inner tray is very strong, with no fading, and with slight creasing on the thin upper and lower areas, and only minor splits on 3 of 4 inside corners.

The Get Back book is unmarked with strong glossy colors.  All the pages are near perfect, but there are some loose pages.  Overall condition is very good (+), and only the loose pages precludes an excellent rating.

This LP was sourced in the UK by a reputable and well-established UK dealer about 5 years ago when I acquired my UK Beatles collection. I looked long and hard for a pristine copy of  LIB boxed set, and this is it.  It has not been played since I purchased it even once other than my initial play to verify condition upon purchase, and just recently once again to have one more listen to this incredible sounding UK music. There is NOTHING that sounds like an excellent condition UK 1st press Beatles album…no subsequent pressing and certainly no CD sounds like this.   Due to personal circumstances, I am now selling off my prized collection of UK 1st press Beatles albums.  Check my other current listings and I will be listing more, so keep an eye out.
