Description
Up for auction is a copy of Let It Be by The Beatles, released in 1970. This edition was pressed in the UK for export to selected countries in Europe (where the Apple logo had not been registered), and was released on Parlophone rather than Apple, cat no P-PCS 7096. The cover also bears a Parlophone logo on the rear & catalogue number PPCS 7096 on the spine. Incredibly rare.
Condition: there are quite a few surface marks on both sides of the vinyl, but nothing particularly deep or “feelable”; there is still a surprising amount of life in the grooves, and it still plays very well, with only occasional clicks & pops, and no jumps or sticks. If you want a mint copy, this one is not for you, but it’s a perfectly playable copy of a very rare album. Labels have some general wear & a small name written on one side but again, no serious damage. The cover has a number of laminate creases, and traces of clear tape around the edges (most of which has been removed, you can probably remove the rest too, together with the residue, if you have the patience & some lighter fluid). There’s also a 1cm tear on the open edge, which has been repaired, and there are also traces of “touching up” on the cover. Additionally, the previous owner has written their name on the inside (the non-printed part) of the cover. Still, the cover is fairly easy to replace; the vinyl considerably less so. VG-/G (vinyl/cover).
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item in pictured here is the item for sale. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings. Even so, if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence!
