BEATLES –  MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR LP,  ‘Mistery’  mispress.

1967 - copy from Portugal on yellow and black Parlophone labels.

An unusual copy of this LP that features:

1. mispress labels that have been misspelt as ‘Mistery’,  the spelling on the sleeve spells this word correctly  as ‘Mystery’ !

2. the records matrix on side two is not consistent with what is printed on the record labels, ie on side two on the label the catalogue reference is 068 06 243 but engraved onto the run out is E0 62 06 243 B1, where is should be ‘68’ !

3.  to the rear top right corner you can just see the UK catalogue number reference very faintly ! it looks as if this was ‘airbrushed’ out and the catalogue reference of  3C 064 04449 was printed.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE:  is in  excellent++ condition, the  spine of the sleeve is excellent and all the text is clear to read, the text 3C 064 0449 is printed on the spine also.   All the text on and in the sleeve is printed in English. The 24 page booklet inside the sleeve  is in excellent++ condition  and the pages look as if they have hardly been touched. The staples of the spine are  excellent  with no signs of any rusting.  There are NO stains, pen writing,  tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue. 

THE INNER SLEEVE:  is in very good condition and is plain white, the original sleeve that has two of  the corners ‘clipped’ !. There are NO stains, pen writing, tears, stickers or sticker residue.  There is some side edge splitting to one of the sides of the sleeve. 

THE VINYL:  is in near MINT condition and looks unplayed,  the vinyl is made from the period thick, heavy vinyl. It is  very dark and very glossy in appearance, looks like new.

The Matrix are : EO-68-06243 A – 1  and  EO-62-06243 B – 1,  the reference to the ‘62’  appears to be an error, it should be  ‘68’ ! 

The Mother/Stampers are :    N/A,

THE AUDIO:  is near excellent, there is some crackle present, it plays well without the needle sticking or jumping. 

THE LABELS:  are in MINT  condition  and they look unplayed. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
