Up for auction is an incredibly rare true stereo pressing of The Beatles album Magical Mystery Tour, originally released in Germany on Apple-HORZU (SHZE 327) in 1971:
-Guaranteed original pressing, not reissue -Correct True Stereo pressing -Matrix stampers read: Side A: 327 A-1 Side B: 327 B-3 -Original fully-laminated cover -Original green Apple labels -Vinyl comes in poly-lined audiophile inner sleeve
Note: The stereo mixes on Side 2 are not found on any other record pressings in the world. But be aware that there is another Horzu pressing with different matrix stampers that is only partial true stereo!
Also be aware of the German pressings with the 1C 062-04 449 catalog number--these are not originals!
This is the only true stereo version of this album ever pressed. The "stereo" copies originally released on Capitol and Parlophone in 1967 were fake, reprocessed stereo and were relatively poor audio quality. These true stereo pressings are truly superior and should be part of every serious Beatles collection.
Condition: The cover looks beautiful, with no significant signs of wear or age. The lamination is in excellent condition, still retains its original high-gloss shine, no ring wear or dulling from wear. Lamination shows no tears or losses. On the back cover there's just a small area in the lower right corner where the lamination has started to lift, but it's not serious or distracting (see photo). Corners are sharp, with just one small bump and a hint of rub. Beautifully preserved original! Grade: Excellent (EX)
The vinyl is also beautiful, still has its original deep glossy shine. No apparent scratches or scuffs, just some faint, superficial signs of having been taken out of inner sleeve a couple times. Labels are clean, no marks around spindle holes. Looks like this record has been played only a couple times at most but handled with great care. Sound quality is fantastic. Hard to upgrade. Grade: Near Mint (NM)

I remove the records with inner sleeves from the covers prior to packing. I sandwich the record between two pieces of cardboard for padding and protection. I also reinforce the corners of the shipping box to protect the corners of the record jacket from damage.
