I play grade my records on a TECHNICS SL - 1200 MK 2 Professional Turtable with a Shure M97XE High Accuracy Phono Cartridge / Stylus , so I detect even the slightest noises...

Also, I set my tone arm at 1.25 grams, very lightly on the LP, you may not get any skips with your record player if tone arm is set at a higher gram weight.

Depending on your system, you may detect more or less noise or more or less skips than I do.
