Sgt. Pepper - New Zealand 1967 original blue Parlophone stereo pressing
This pressing of Sgt. Pepper was released after 1967 on the blue Parlophone label with the WIDE STEREO print. The very first pressing had the narrow STEREO print and is far more common than this one.
It is pressed from the same stereo stamper as the first UK pressing i.e YEX 637-1 , YEX 638-1.
The cover is unique to New Zealand in that it is NOT a gatefold version. (the g/f covers were sent to OZ!)
The original paper inner sleeve is included.
Contrary to popular belief this LP was NOT released in New Zealand in mono.[a mono release was considered but it never eventuated]
