Description

VERY RARE ORIGINAL 1966 MONO COPY LP OF 'REVOLVER' BY THE BEATLES

Dead Wax information: Side 1 - XEX 605-2 (1/RPA). Side 2 XEX 606-3 (1/ROM)

You are bidding on the mega rare 1966 2nd press mono Parlophone copy of 'Revolver' by the Beatles (PMC 7009). It is the rare 'KT' stamped 1966 pressing with the important Yellow/Black Parlophone centre labels and the 'Sold in the UK' and 'Gramophone' text in the centre labels.

The original laminated Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is in great condition with just the most minor (and occasional) laminate cracks at the edge and a good strong spine. The cover has the MONO label printed in the top right corner and is complete with the ORIGINAL EMI ads inner sleeve which is also in mint uncreased condition. The reverse side has a couple of small and very faint marks but they hardly notice, see image.

The vinyl itself is in superb condition, it is bright and shiny with virtually NO groove wear (this is common on most albums of the era, caused by the big heavy needles of the 60's and 70's). It does not stick or jump when played, and just has some very faint spider webs, which don't notice when playing. The centre labels are superb, clean with no tears or marks and just a few spindle lines. This is by far the best example of a 2nd press Revolver I have come across of this album. This is an excellent example of a very rare record. Don't miss this one as you will be very hard pushed to find another copy of this rare LP in such great condition
