PAUL McCARTNEY & WINGS LP BAND ON THE RUN (PURPLE VINYL) (Apple/Bovema Records 5C 062-05503). Released 1973.
Original colored vinyl pressing from Holland in an appealing shade of purple. Includes full-color 20" x 30" poster & delectable, finely-printed textured inner sleeve on grade A paper stock with lyrics & attractive photo of Paul, Linda & Denny in Lagos, Nigeria. Custom-printed label also shows photos of the three. Engineered by Geoff Emerick. (Matrix #: YEX-929-21227-2-Y 062-05593).
COVER - VERY GOOD PLUS
No seam splits, stains, cuts, tears, smudges, bubbles, water damage, cut-out marks, price tags or color fading. No speckling or rubbing but some very faint ring indentation on front & back. Owner has written name in thin sharpie on back bottom left corner - covering a quarter-inch by one & a half inch area. The writing blends in fairly well. Light edge wear & moderate corner banging, plus a few quarter-inch semi-creases at the edges. Spine look quite good & is fully readable. Deep rich color throughout cover & labels. The poster has no cuts, tears, stains, marks, tape, writing, holes, or fading. The inner sleeve has a quarter-inch strip of clear tape on one edge, but no other blemishes. it looks quite nice. Labels pretty decent, although side 2 label has a small amount of paper deterioration. Sharp cut spindle hole.
DISC - VERY GOOD PLUS
We give great importance to grading our items accurately. There are no pits, stains, warping, or residue on the disc or dead wax. There is no sign that the platter has been crimped or compressed or of anything heavy having been placed on the platter. Side 2 looks really nice. Side 1 has three light hairline scratches which I do not believe will be a serious impediment to your listening pleasure. Album has been safely stored upright in climate-controlled conditions.
