*BEATLES* PLEASE PLEASE ME -1963 UK *LABEL VARIATION*LP

Description

THE BEATLES :- Please Please Me

Original 1963 UK Parlophone PMC 1202 Mono LP with E.J.Day Sleeve . Complete with Original polylined Emitex Liner Sleeve

Complete with original polylined Emitex Liner Sleeve

One of the very hard to find 'transitionary' label copies . After the initial Gold Label pressings , EMI decided on the 'new for 1963' yellow / black labels . This is one of the early yellow / black labels which OMIT the 'Recording First Published' print , later added just below the matrix numbers at left hand side of the labels ....... (see photo)

Matrix :- XEX 421 - 1N   /  XEX 422 - 1N

Mother :- Side One  '2'   /  Side Two  '1 over 2'

Stamper :- Side One 'MT'  /  Side Two 'PO' crossed out over 'AT '

The Disc  has mild use ........ just a few light surface silent  'marks' (nothing heavy at all !!) The disc plays through extremely well , barely any between track presence : Graded Visually at least VERY GOOD , Aurally at least EXCELLENT condition.

The Sleeve has very light use  .... bright , crisp and clean .... no spine or edge wear .... a couple of very minor , small wrinkles .... nice edges , great spine .... The rear panel has light use .... (retail sticker) bottom right hand corner flip crease : Graded in at least VERY GOOD condition (see photo's)

I usually start auctions at a low price to generate interest in bidding

All items are graded Audio / Visually , and played on a high grade system

Please feel able to bid with confidence , as a collector myself I understand the requirements in the gradings of discs and sleeves , and how important it is to recieve items in the condition as advertised

I grade items ( using the UK Record Collector Grading System) beneath a light , to be sure of condition

I do not believe it is necessary to use the eBay buzzwords such as STUNNING !! RARE !! AWESOME !! , padded out with grossly long winded 'descriptions' ..... Many of the 'experts' who use this method of selling also add technical information , which is totally unfounded and does not correspond with the actual facts , and would be laughable but for the fact it is totally misleading. I take time and care to graded items correctly , and only list quality records , with concise , accurate grading descriptions

I have been a lifelong music fan , my first concert visit was in 1957 (Birmingham Town Hall Skiffle Contest !) and have bought records of all the great music since 1959 , and had the privelege of seeing most of the great artists 'live' ( I saw The Beatles twice and Segovia !)

I began selling professionally in 1976 , and have a wide knowledge of the items I sell (and always learning !) having bought copies of my own at time of issue , always being interested in the sleeve , label and disc variations. If you have any queries , I will do my best to answer correctly

Please check my feedback ratings , you will see that a large amount are from repeat buyers ( many thanks !) .... and in the event of genuine complaints will remedy the situation as soon as possible

All items carefully packaged using proper cardboard packaging (I do not use low quality preformed mailers)

The discs are placed seperately from the sleeves within the package to avoid splitting or damage . Items are sent promptly - usually within one working day of payment .
