BEATLES 'PLEASE PLEASE ME' PARLOPHONE GOLD 1st PRESSING MONO PMC 1202
Side 1 stamped XEX 421-1N and 2 RG
Side 2 stamped XEX 422-1N and 1 GD
I remember seeing the Beatles live at Newcastle City Hall, the winter of 1963, after I had slept overnight in the queue waiting for tickets for the concert. Listening to this record took me straight back to when I loved them (and John Lennon in particular!) more than anyone else in the whole world. I bought this album in the same year. So it’s very old – like me! I hope someone will love it as much as I did. I’ve done some research into what you need to know about the record. My opinions as to the sound quality are subjective, but I hope, accurate.
I haven’t sold many records before, but you can see that my feedback is positive over 660 transactions, of which 550 were sales.
I have a turntable and have played the record on it.
The Cover is original and early with the ‘P’ of ‘Photo by Angus McBean’ starting below and immediately after the last ‘S’ of ‘Songs’ see photo).
This is a 1st UK pressing. It has gold and black Parlophone labels. Dick James credits on “Ask me Why” and “Please Please Me”, Northern Songs on 'I saw her standing there' and 'Misery'.

TWIST AND SHOUT
Sound quality is good – there is a moderate amount of crackling because it has been well played. There are some long superficial scratches, one on each side, which don’t cause skipping or clicking and don't appear to affect the sound.
Labels are excellent – bright and shiny, no real signs of wear.
Sleeve condition is fair – the front is good, but the bottom back flap is torn on the LHS and the top right hand corner torn about 1/2" in from the edge.
Inner sleeve is original Emitex and in very good condition.
If the record is not as I have described it, I will take it back and refund the purchase price.
It will be posted in a cardboard record mailer with cardboard supports.
