UK mono release from 1963 on Parlophone (cat. no. PMC 1202)

This is a fifth pressing of The Beatles debut album in superb condition for the year.
The condition of the vinyl is vg+ - there are some surface marks but nothing serious. I have played it throughout on a good Garrard 401 deck and the sound is superb. The most surprising thing is the almost total lack of crackles between tracks. Throughout the album I couldn't hear any clicks but there's one single pop between the first two tracks on side one although the rest of the breaks between tracks are pretty clear. The labels are clean and sharp with no writing. The album has been played a number of times as can be seen by the wear at the spindle hole but it's also been well looked after (one owner) and still retains it's original sheen.
The front-laminated sleeve is superb as can be seen in the pictures - nice an clean with no splits or writing. Minor dents on three of the corners and a centimetre of the top right back flap has lifted and folded over but can be glued back very easily. I would have done it myself but didn't want the winning buyer to smell fresh glue - I know some people like to sniff their albums to get that feeling of age!! The sleeve has the Angus McBean photo credit at the bottom right on the front. The spine is excellent with very clear pristine lettering.
It comes with the original Emitex poly-lined inner sleeve which has been folded over on the two bottom corners - probably purchased like that - I'll include a bonus nice clean similar inner taken off a Jimmy Shand album on Parlophone from the same era.
A very tasty example of The Beatles debut album.
