This is the very rare 1963 early yellow & black label Parlophone UK pressing without the more common "Recording first published.." text on the labels (which came later) and with "The Parlophone Co.." label text around the label perimeter. This one was issued in the 1st pressing 'Gold label' cover with the Angus McBean credit further to the right than in later pressings. Valued at £150 in the 2016 UK Rare Record Price Guide.
Cover: 1st pressing E J Day 'Gold' cover with the Angus McBean credit to the far right so that the A in Angus is below the 's' in songs and not the 'g'. Laminated front and unlaminated rear with triple flip backs. Clear readable spine. Very nice VG+ condition - see photos.
Original EMITEX poly-lined inner sleeve: Near Mint.
Labels: VG+. No writings, doodles or stickers - see scans.
Vinyl: Play tested. Thick heavy duty vinyl. Looks 'Good' with marks and scratches but plays better. No skips or jumps. There is crackle in the quieter parts and between tracks and occasional pops/clicks in places. Some tracks play VG+ and others Good+. Plays VG overall.

Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is little lessening in sound quality.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and more significant scratches.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc
Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
