Another from my personal collection! I have accumilated more than 1000 UK Beatles albums alone over the past 45 years or more! Here on offer is a very nice ,rare 3rd UK pressing of  The Beatles Debut lp.'Please Please Me' These are extreemely hard to find ''Recording 1st Published 1963'' on the labels! The audio was absolutely stunning throughout! I played this at very loud volume on a top system prior to this listing,, Importantly using a dedicated mono cartridge! Amaizingly even in between tracks this was lovely and quiet! I would grade the audio as near mint on my systems! The Emitex record sleeve and the E.Day flipback cover are also very nice and clean rarely ever seen like this! Highly sought after and very collectable indeed! 

Please Please Me is the first album recorded by The Beatles, rush-released on 22 March 1963 in the United Kingdom to capitalise on the success of singles "Please Please Me" (#1 and "Love Me Do" (#17). Of the album's fourteen songs, eight were written by Lennon/McCartney, early evidence of what was later called "[their invention of] the self-contained rock band, writing their own hits and playing their own instruments!

.In order for the album to contain fourteen songs (the norm for twelve inch vinyl pop albums in 1963 was to have seven songs on each side) ten more tracks were needed to add to the four sides of their first two singles recorded and released previously. Therefore, at 10.00 a.m. on Monday, 11 February, at Abbey Road Studios, the Beatles and George Martin started recording what was essentially their live act in 1963, and finished 585 minutes later (9 hours and 45 minutes). In three sessions that day (each lasting approximately three hours) they produced an authentic representation of the band's Cavern Club-era sound, as there were very few overdubs and edits. George Martin initially contemplated recording the "Please Please Me" LP live at the Cavern in front of their own audience and visited the Liverpool club to experience the Beatles phenomenon for himself.But when time constraints intervened he decided to book them into Abbey Road Studios instead, and simply record them virtually live. Martin said, "It was a straightforward performance of their stage repertoire - a broadcast, more or less." The day ended with a cover of "Twist and Shout", which had to be recorded last because John Lennon had a particularly bad cold and Martin feared the throat-shredding vocal would ruin Lennon's voice for the day. This performance, generally regarded as a classic, prompted Martin to say: "I don't know how they do it. We've been recording all day but the longer we go on the better they get!

This album on offer is one of the hardest to find in this awesome condition! This being the 1st ever yellow and black label pressing,,, oficially the third pressing/third label variation for this pressing,, after the two gold and black labeled pressings!

The vinyl!!
this vinyl is the original heavy and thicker type vinyl with deeper grooves than later pressings which were much more flimsier and lees robust. On intial inspection this vinyl looks superbe and still holds its original sheen from new! only in very strong light can any  surface marks possibly be seen Please note! I can't see any needle scratches or indeed any audio sounding marks  and for an early third pressing that is 44 years old this is unbelievable!

  The Audio Quality

 I have played this through track for track as usual at very loud volume two times prior to this listing on a top system. Importantly using a dedicated mono cartridge!  There is absolutely no jumps or skips or pops the audio is superbe on all frequencies (The audio is rated at the very top and graded near mint on my systems!) (In fact i heard (no) background noise eg.no signs of groove ware or that the vinyl has been over played at all! The audio is certainly very cristal clear and vibrant for a 48 year old vinyl! I would say the audio is truly stunning throughout!  I would class myself as highly critical) the audio is cristal clear and vibrant through out!! Typical great vibrant mono sound . I would grade the audio as absolutely at the top (please note that some times you find a pressing with a rich bassy feel! well this one is it)...  (see my feedback and other records that i have sold of this calaber and you will see that i normaly get it right i am not over estimating this record.)

 Even between tracks extreemely minimal noise/lovely and quiet this plays better than some of the new presses that I have heard that look mint! (no) clicks pops or crackle

Please note! that i always make this disclaimer i have tried to be as honest and as acurate describing the audio quality of this album! please allow for the odd static ( not consistent through out the audio) (although i never heard any thing worth to mention, Please remember that this is an original first pressing vinyl of 48 years old that would have been played on a 48 year old system! Through my experience of collecting beatles pressings for more than 45 years this one's audio exceptional, for the quality of the audio  and rated at the top!

The labels!

 These are the original 1st issue Parlophone yellow and black rough textured labels!  They emit "recording first published 1963" (only third press)".across the labels. (only on early press) 'the Parlophone Co ltd...'' is featured around the label rim (only on earliest press) ''ZMT'' tax code is stamped on side one. (only early press) a truly unique and rare copy. Made in Great Britain. uk press!!!!
little if (no) spindle ware spidering can be seen in strong light!! this has not been overplayed in my opinion (see photo) (I have tried to capture this in the photo) and the zmt tax stamper is on side one (only early press)

The Record Sleeve

This is the original Emetex sleeve becoming fragile with age very slight edge splits begining but this is unusualy clean without the normally seen staining with age!

The Cover

The original E. Day & co flipback UK press cover fully laminated (front) flipback unlaminated rear cover (In superbe nice and clean condition, rarely seen like this)  Normaly seen very grubby. This cover is strong and straight with no edge splits or tares! The laminate is super glossy in appearence with no real main creases at the front! Any creases are very minor in my opinion and you have to look to notice any! The rear is exceptionaly clean indeed (see photos) This cover must grade at least excellent if not better in my opinion!
