MATRIX NUMBERS
It is really hard to get a nice early yellow & black pressing of this LP. Most have been played to death. This one is in Excellent condition.
1963 4th Mono UK pressing of "Please Please Me" on the yellow and black Parlophone label. Fourth pressings have "The Parlophone...." text on the label rim and the "Recording first published" text but without the "Sold in the UK text". It has the large MONO on the front cover and comes in its original E J Day cover with an Emitex poly-lined inner sleeve.
Cover: This is the rarer E J Day triple flip back cover with the flatter flipbacks. No writings/doodles or seam splits. Not quite mint but rates as Excellent to Excellent+.
Emitex inner poly-lined sleeve: Mint.
Labels: Excellent+. XEX421/2-1N. No writings/doodles. KT Tax Code.
Vinyl: Looks to be Excellent. The nicest I have seen in a long while. Some faint hairlines only. Lovely sheen to the vinyl. One careful owner who now wants to sell now that she has the new Beatles remastered box set.

Gradings.......
Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc
Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
