EXTREMELY RARE BEATLES PLEASE PLEASE ME. EXTRA SMALL 33 1/3. PLEASE SEE INFORMATION BELOW.
- Please Please Me' 1963 first ever yellow and black label UK FIRST pressing. With print error and TWO 33 1/3s in silver on label please see information below.
- The lp plays OK lots of light scratches. Background crackling but not excessive to the point can't enjoy music. I'd grade VG. No jumps or skips or sticking. I have provided an early mono sleeve from around the fourth pressing as the vinyl originally came with no sleeve. Sleeve has tape repair but otherwise no splits VG/G+
I TRY TO GRADE CONSERVATIVELY SO THE BUYER IS ALWAYS HAPPY.

In 1963 the label style changed from the older style legendary gold and black label to the newer common style yellow and black labels, as you may be aware on all 1963 first issue gold and black stereo and mono labels a small 33 1/3 text printed in gold can be located to the middle left of the spindle hole, at the exact point of change to the newer style yellow and black labels,the tiny small 33 1/3 text should have been omited from the label and replaced with the new and much more common style label but with the text "33 1/3 rpm" now located in the upper middle section of the label in large bold silver text , but at the point of change the designers made one fatal error, on only a very small percentage of 1st press please please me yellow and black labeled lps the tiny small 33 1/3 text can be found but now printed in the new silver coloured text, so now the yellow and black labels had not only one but two 33 1/3 texts on the labels, this printing error was quickly rectified firstly WITHOUT the "recording first published 1963" text and then to the more common 4th pressing WITH the recording first published 1963 text ,although there are no records to determine the exact quantities of this rare lp it is thought to have been pressed in the high hundreds rather than thousands! This is a true rarity!
please please me, PMC 1202, first issue black and yello mono label, with "the parlophone co ltd" rim text, NO "recording first published 1963" text, with the EXTRA SMALL "33 1/3" text, rare early *M Z T tax CODE side 2 M is very faint, run out groove codes XEX421-1N and XEX 422-1N.
