Description

On offer here is a VERY RARE Black & Gold MONO UK 1963 1st Pressing called 'Please Please Me' on the 1st Press Black & Gold Parlophone label!!!! It is also a 100% GENIUNE 1963 Black & Gold 1st Pressing with the 'Dick James' credits to BOTH labels (unlike the later and more common pressings which have 'Northern Songs' credits)!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP EVEN RARER STILL IS THAT IT IS ONE OF THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS EVER MADE!!!!  THIS LP (ALONG WITH MANY OTHERS ONLINE AT THE MOMENT) CAME FROM AN EX REP (AND LATER MUSIC REVIEWER) FROM THE 1960S.  ALL THE RECORDS IN HIS COLLECTION WERE OBTAINED WELL BEFORE THE RELEASE DATE - AND AS A RESULT THIS LP IS ONE OF THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS EVER MADE!!!!  NATURALLY AS THIS LP IS ONE OF THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS EVER IT HAS ALL THE CORRECT (AND ULTRA RARE) 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING CHARACTERISTICS!!!!  FIRSTLY THIS LP HAS THE FULL SET OF 1ST PRESS ONLY 'DICK JAMES' CREDITS TO BOTH LABELS (THIS WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY CHANGED)!!!!  SECONDLY THE MATRIXES ARE THE 'EARLIEST POSSIBLE' 1ST PRESS MATRIXES - BEING XEX 421-1N & XEX 422-1N!!!!  THE MOTHER & STAMPER CODES ARE ALSO AMAZINGLY LOW AND ONE OF THE VERY 'EARLIEST' POSSIBLE - BEING 1/T & 1/M (BOTH FROM THE 1ST MOTHER EVER AND AMAZINGLY LOW STAMPER CODINGS)!!!!  THIS CLEARLY SHOWS THAT THIS LP WAS ONE OF THE FIRST 1200 COPIES EVER PRESSED, AND ALSO SHOWS THAT THIS LP WAS PRESSED WAY BEFORE THE INTENDED RELEASE DATE, AND IT IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND MOTHER & STAMPER CODINGS AS LOW AS THESE!!!!   THIS LP ALSO HAS AN AMAZING LABEL VARIATION THAT ONLY EVER HAPPENED ON THE VERY 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS!!!!  IF YOU LOOK AT THE PICTURE OF THE SIDE 2 LABEL - YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE IT HAS AN ULTRA RARE 'GROOVED' LABEL!!!!  THIS ONLY EVER HAPPENED ON A TINY HANDFUL OF THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS AND IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP ALSO HAS A 'FACTORY SAMPLE' STICKER (WHICH IS SO CLEARLY 100% GENIUNE) ON THE SIDE 1 LABEL!!!!  AS THIS LP WAS OBTAINED BY THE REP (WELL BEFORE THE RELEASE DATE) AND NEVER SOLD IN THE SHOPS, THIS 'FACTORY SAMPLE' STICKER WOULD HAVE BEEN APPLIED BACK IN THE FACTORY FROM NEW - AND HAS CLEARLY NEVER EVER BEEN 'PICKED AT' OR TOUCHED IN ANY WAY!!!!   THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE LIKE THIS - AND IT WILL SURELY BE A VERY VERY LONG TIME (IF EVER) BEFORE YOU SEE ANOTHER!!!!

THIS ULTRA RARE BLACK & GOLD 1ST PRESSING IS ALSO IN BRILLIANT CONDITION AND IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND LIKE THIS!!!!  BLACK & GOLD 1ST PRESSINGS OF THIS LP ARE VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AND INCREDIBLY SOUGHT AFTER!!!!  HOWEVER SADLY MOST BLACK & GOLD 1ST PRESSINGS OFTEN TURN UP IN TERRIBLE CONDITION - WITH HORRIBLE WORN FADED LABELS AND A BATTERED TERRIBLE LOOKING COVER.  BUT NOT THIS ONE!!!!  THIS LP IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION AND IS INCREDIBLY TOUGH TO FIND LIKE THIS!!!!  THIS LP HAS SUPERB CONDITIONED BLACK & GOLD LABELS, AN AWESOME CONDITIONED INNER SLEEVE, A STUNNING COVER, AND A BRILLIANT RECORD!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL 1963 UK Black & Gold 'Earliest' 1st pressing on the ULTRA RARE 'Earliest' 1st Press 'Grooved' Black & Gold Parlophone label (with the 1st Press 'Dick James' Credits), 'The Parlophone Company' edge text, NO 'Sold In The UK' text, NO 'First Published' text, a LARGE 'MONO' on the cover front, 1st Press 'Thicker Paper' 'Polythene lined' Emitex 'Patents Applied For' inner sleeve, and a 1st Press 'E.J.Day' Flipback Laminated Cover!!!!  The 'Angus McBean' credit is in the 'far right' position in the bottom right corner of the cover front (see picture).  This credit does vary from cover to cover and I have always been of the opinion that this has absolutely nothing to do with the age of the cover in any respect (as E.J.Day has 2 factorys it is more likely a simple factory difference) - but in this case the 'Angus McBean' credit is as far right as it gets!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is PMC 1202 on the ORIGINAL and ULTRA RARE 'Earliest' 1st Press Black & Gold 'Grooved' Parlophone label (see picture) and is a MONO 1st pressing!!!! All the tracks are Pure quality Beatles at their best!!!! Any fan of The Beatles, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO writing, SUPERB sharp UNFADED Gold Print, STUNNING dark UNRUBBED black background, and only a VERY few light spindle marks!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 3 or 4 light hairlines, only 3 or 4 light scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!!  It is great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with barely ANY clicks/pops AT ALL (virtually NONE), NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some ULTRA faint touches of AMAZINGLY low level background sound on the run on grooves & VERY occassional gap - NOT in the music AT ALL!!!!  The record must grade Very Good++ if not better - and it EXTREMELY rare indeed to find a Black & Gold MONO 1st Press record in this condition!!!!  The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Thicker Paper' Emitex 'Poly Lined' inner sleeve!!!! The 1st Press 'E.J.Day' Flipback Laminated Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking), STUNNING shiny laminate, and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back of the cover is in BRILLIANT condition with NO writing, NO grubbyness, and NO yellowing (apart from the VERY slightest touches to the VERY edge of the top flipback ONLY)!!!!  There is also an IMPOSSIBLE to notice impression (only under angled light) just below the top flipback - but this is quite simply an IMPRESSION only and there is NO writing AT ALL!!!!  The cover is INCREDIBLY hard to find in this BRILLIANT condition and must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!

TAKE A LOOK AT PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE!!!! It really is a GREAT looking LP and it is truly rare to find any copies of this MEGA RARE Beatles LP!!!! THIS WILL BE YOUR ONLY CHANCE TO BUY AN ORIGINAL 1963 UK BLACK & GOLD 'EARLIEST' MONO 1ST PRESSING OF "PLEASE PLEASE ME" BY THE BEATLES, IN BRILLIANT CONDITION!!!!  Dont forget to take a look at all my other items including many other TOP LPs and contact me with any queries you may have.
