Description
On offer here is a VERY RARE Black & Gold MONO UK 1963 1st Pressing called 'Please Please Me' on the 1st Press Black & Gold Parlophone label!!!! It is also a 100% GENIUNE 1963 Black & Gold 1st Pressing with the 'Dick James' credits to BOTH labels (unlike the later and more common pressings which have 'Northern Songs' credits)!!!! This LP is being re-listed due to a non paying bidder. THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! THIS IS ALSO THE BEST CONDITIONED BLACK & GOLD 1ST PRESSING I HAVE SEEN FOR A VERY LONG TIME AND CLEARLY HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!! BLACK & GOLD 1ST PRESSINGS OF THIS LP ARE VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AND INCREDIBLY SOUGHT AFTER!!!! HOWEVER SADLY MOST BLACK & GOLD 1ST PRESSINGS OFTEN TURN UP IN TERRIBLE CONDITION - WITH HORRIBLE WORN FADED LABELS AND A BATTERED TERRIBLE LOOKING COVER. BUT NOT THIS ONE!!!! THIS LP IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION AND IS ONE OF THE BEST CONDITIONED BLACK & GOLD 1ST PRESSINGS I HAVE SEEN FOR A VERY LONG TIME!!!! THIS LP HAS SUPERB CONDITIONED BLACK & GOLD LABELS, AN AWESOME CONDITIONED INNER SLEEVE, A STUNNING COVER, AND A BRILLIANT RECORD!!!! THIS LP IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND LIKE THIS!!!! NOT ONLY THAT BUT IT IS ONE OF THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS EVER!!!! IT HAS AMAZINGLY LOW 1/T & 1/GR MOTHER & STAMPER CODES, AND THE EARLIEST POSSIBLE 'ZT' TAX CODING ON THE SIDE 2 LABEL!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL 1963 UK Black & Gold 1st pressing on the 1st Press Black & Gold Parlophone label (with the 1st Press 'Dick James' Credits), 'The Parlophone Company' edge text, NO 'Sold In The UK' text, NO 'First Published' text, a LARGE 'MONO' on the cover front, 1st Press 'Polythene lined' Emitex inner, and an 'E.J.Day' Flipback Laminated Cover!!!! The 'Angus McBean' credit is in the standard position in the bottom right corner of the cover front. This credit does vary from cover to cover and I have always been of the opinion that this has absolutely nothing to do with the age of the cover in any respect (as E.J.Day had 2 factorys it is more likely a simple factory difference). And certainly I have absolutely NO doubt AT ALL that this is EXACTLY the ORIGINAL and CORRECT cover this LP came in when it was purchased back in 1963!!!! This LP came from a 1 owner from new collection only last week - and he had clearly been the ONLY owner of LP from new, and it had been safely stored and unplayed since the mid 1960s when he had stopped playing his records!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The matrix numbers are XEX 421-1N & XEX 422-1N. The stamper codes are 1/T & 1/GR - SERIOUSLY early mother & stamper codes and BOTH from the 1st mother ever used!!!! Naturally this shows that this LP was pressed WELL before the release date!!!! The Cat. No is PMC 1202 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Black & Gold Parlophone label (see picture) and is a MONO 1st pressing!!!! All the tracks are Pure quality Beatles at their best!!!! Any fan of The Beatles, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!
The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO writing, SUPERB sharp UNFADED Gold Print, STUNNING dark UNRUBBED black background, and only a VERY few light spindle marks AT ALL!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!! The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 2 or 3 light hairlines, only 2 or 3 light scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle, and only some EXTREMELY low level background sound on the run on grooves & gaps - NOT in the music!!!! The record must grade Very Good++ if not better - and it EXTREMELY rare indeed to find a Black & Gold MONO 1st Press record in this condition!!!! BRILLIANT RECORD!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press Emitex inner sleeve!!!! The 'E.J.Day' Flipback Laminated Cover is in STUNNING condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking), VERY shiny laminate, and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back of the cover is in STUNNING condition with NO writing, NO grubbyness, PERFECT flipbacks (IMPOSSIBLE on this cover) and barely ANY yellowing AT ALL!!!! The cover is INCREDIBLY hard to find in this STUNNING condition and must grade FULL Excellent!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!
TAKE A LOOK AT PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE!!!! It really is a GREAT looking LP and it is truly rare to find any copies of this MEGA RARE Beatles LP!!!!
