On offer here is an ORIGINAL Black & Gold MONO UK 1963 1st Pressing called "Please Please Me" by The Beatles, on the 1st Press Black & Gold Parlophone labels!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS WAS THE BEATLES FIRST & RAREST LP EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  IT IS ONE OF THE MOST SOUGHT LPs ON THE PARLOPHONE LABEL, AND IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL - IS THAT IT IS A 100% GENIUNE UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE ULTRA RARE BLACK & GOLD PARLOPHONE LABEL - AND IS ONE OF THE 'RAREST' 1ST PRESSINGS EVER MADE!!!!  AND THIS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!!  AND NATURALLY AS THIS LP IS A 1ST PRESSING ON THE 'BLACK & GOLD' PARLOPHONE LABEL - IT HAS ALL THE CORRECT 1ST PRESS CHARACTERISTICS!!!!  FIRSTLY THE MATRIXES ARE THE 'EARLIEST POSSIBLE' 1ST PRESS MATRIXES - BEING XEX 421-1N & XEX 422-1N (LATER ONES DONT!)!!!!  SECONDLY THE MOTHER CODINGS ARE 1/H & 1/T MOTHER CODINGS (CLEARLY SHOWING THAT THIS WAS ONE OF THE FIRST 2100 COPIES EVER MADE!)!!!!  THIRDLY THE 'EMITEX' INNER SLEEVE IS 'POLY LINED' AND HAS 'PATENTS APPLIED FOR' TEXT IN THE BOTTOM LEFT CORNER (LATER ONES DONT!)!!!!  AND LASTLY & MOST IMPORTANTLY - IT HAS THE FAR FAR RARER TYPE 2 'NORTHERN SONGS' CREDITS TO BOTH LABELS (MOST DON'T HAVE THESE AT ALL!)!!!!  SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL, THAT THIS IS ONE OF THE 'EARLIEST' & RAREST 1ST PRESSINGS EVER MADE - AND IS UNDOUBTEDLY THE RAREST 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE!!!!

THIS LP IS MADE EVEN RARER STILL - AS IT HAS AN ULTRA RARE 'GROOVED LABEL' TO THE SIDE 2 LABEL - WHICH BARELY ANY BLACK & GOLD 1ST PRESSINGS EVER HAD!!!!

The ULTRA RARE 'Black & Gold' record labels (see pictures) have NO writing, NO sticker marks, the odd spindle drag line, NO sticker tears, a touch of wear around the centre holes, NO writing impressions, STUNNING clear Gold Print (with absolutely NO fading AT ALL!), and only some spindle marks to either label!!!!  STILL A VERY NICE SET OF BLACK & GOLD LABELS INDEED (AS MY PICTURES CLEARLY SHOW!) - AND SO VERY RARE TO FIND STUNNING CLEAR UNFADED GOLD PRINT FOR ONCE!!!!  The vinyl is essentially what in the record collecting world is described as a 'player' (though it certainly ISNT terrible either!).  It has clearly been enjoyed & played by its previous owner, but it is still quite bright & shiny looking, and definitely still has a nice black appearance.  However, there are a few lines on either side, the odd surface mark, and some general VERY light paper scuffing under light. It plays with NO skips, a few light clicks/pops, some distortion on the more upbeat tracks (though many tracks have NO distortion AT ALL!), NO sticking, NO jumps, and some VERY slight background crackle in places!!!!  The record must grade Good (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better!!!!  That said, you can of course listen to the music on ANY copy of Please Please Me, and this record still plays through fine (with NO sticks and NO jumps!), is still bright & shiny, and has a VERY nice set of Black & Gold labels!!!!  STILL A VERY PRESENTABLE EXAMPLE INDEED!!!!  The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Patents Applied For' Emitex 'Poly Lined' inner sleeve which is in SUPERB condition!!!!  The ORIGINAL 1st Press 'E.J.Day' Flipback Laminated MONO Cover is in GREAT condition!!!!  It has NO edge wear, NO edge splits, NO spinal wear, NO spine splits, only slight corner wear (with some 'tipping in' to the bottom corners!), NO rips, NO tears, some staining to the right, VERY shiny laminate, NO stickers, NO sticker marks, only a few VERY light creases (cover is VERY flat looking!), NO annotations, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!!  Even the unlaminated back of the cover is in GREAT condition - with NO grubbyness, some VERY faint staining to the left, NO sticker marks, NO sticker tears, NO flipback loss AT ALL (most do!), a few creases to the top flipback, NO yellowing, 1 TINY erasure mark (this is TINY!) in the top right corner, NO residue marks, NO ringwear, barely ANY rubbing, NO annotations, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade Very Good (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better - and is still a very VERY presentable cover indeed!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE (ESPECIALLY WITH RAREST POSSIBLE TYPE 2 'NORTHERN SONGS' LABEL CREDITS & HAVING A 'GROOVED' LABEL!) - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
