HELLO AND WELCOME TO MY 'ONE OFF' OVERSTOCK AUCTIONS (ENDING WEDNESDAY 2ND JANUARY!)!!!!

As many people may already know, I usually end all my items on Sunday nights - and this wont change with my auctions will STILL ending as usual every Sunday!!!!  But as I have quite a few extra items of overstock - I decided to do a 'one off' set of listings of Wednesday auctions!!!!  So PLEASE NOTE that this auction will end in the evening of Wednesday 2nd January (NOT Sunday!)!!!!  And there are some EXTREMELY rare items indeed (see other items)!!!!  It also worth noting - that whilst I have given this listing an EXTREMELY strict visual grading under light, because this is an 'overstock' listing - I simply havent had the time to play everything through end to end, or mention every single minute detail (though obviously major defects will always be mentioned!).  And of course ALL MY AUCTIONS ARE GUARANTEED to have NO jumps, NO sticks, NO rips, NO tears, NO splits, and NO writing - unless I explicitly mention it!!!!  So there will certainly be NO shocks and everything will be as graded!!!!  But if you do have any doubts, or need clarification - please refer to the UK record grading system for details - or send me a question (always happy to help!)!!!!

RARITY:-  The Beatles first LP EVER - and very VERY sought after indeed!  This one is even more sought after - as it has what is commonly known as the 'Black & Gold' cover, with the 'Angus McBean' credit to the far right on the bottom right of the cover (starting after the 'S' in Songs).  Of course there was a 'crossover' with both types of covers appearing on both pressings - but this cover type in undoubtedly the RAREST POSSIBLE!!!!

PRESSING:-  EARLY PRESSING (STILL IN 1963) AND COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE '4TH PRESSING' ('FIRST PUBLISHED' LABEL TEXT, ETC!) AND 1ST PRESS 1N/1N MATRIX ENDINGS!

DATE:- 1963 (NOW 49+ YEARS OLD!) 

SIGNS OF PLAY:-  MODERATE TOWARDS REGULAR

LABELS:-  EX(-) if not better with NO defects, other than a TINY touch of wear around the centre holes!

RECORD GRADING:-   VG++ if not better! (Graded directly under a 150 watt bulb!)  A VERY nice looking example - with NO scratches, only 2 or 3 VERY light hairlines, only 2 or 3 VERY light scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!  The record plays perhaps slightly less than the visual grading - for although it has VERY nice sound quality & the music sounds GREAT - there is some background sound on the run on grooves & gaps. Certainly still a VERY decent example - and so VERY hard to find today! 

INNER:-  PLAIN

COVER GRADING:-  A VERY presentable cover and MEGA STRICTLY graded G if not G+!  GOOD POINTS:- NO splits, NO writing, a VERY clean cover back (with barely ANY grubbyness AT ALL!), NO sticker marks, NO sticker tears, barely ANY feathering (opening edge is still nice and straight!), 100% of the spinal flipback, 60% of the top flipback, and 80% of the bottom flipback are completely UNDAMAGED, barely ANY top edge wear AT ALL, and NO spinal wear!!!!  BAD POINTS:- the cover does have slight corner wear, slight bottom edge wear, only very VERY slight rubbing to the cover back, a small residue mark on the EXTREME bottom right flipback, a very VERY bit of flipback loss to the EXTREME bottom left flipback, and some creasing + VERY small losses to the top left flipback.  THAT SAID - this cover is still VERY solid and presentable (as you can see in my pictures!), so very VERY hard to find as a 'Gold' cover today!
