The BEATLES
PLEASE PLEASE ME
3rd PRESS UK LP
EX!
This was the very first official release, being released on the 22nd of March 1963 (MONO version) and later on the 26th of April 1963 (STEREO version). The Lp reached number one in; Disc Weekly, Melody Maker, New Musical Express and The Record Retailer in the UK. Only to be knocked off by their next album With The Beatles.
Amazingly the songs, which were taken from their first two singles and included a further ten songs, were all recorded in one marathon session at Abbey Road Studios. John wasn't feeling too well and got throught the 3 sessions in the one day by having milk, tea and Zubes lozenges....

Vinyl: EX-. Nice, heavy vinyl without jumps and skips...Still has it's sheen. She does have some light marks-I have played her to make sure that there aren't any skips/jumps and nope, just The Beatles in all their original glory.
Some faint background pops n crackles, but a good clean and the majority of this will be cleared up.
FLAT, HEAVY AND SHINY-ORIGINAL!
Labels: EX. Superb side 1 label and the side 2 just has the outline of where a small sticker used to be-didn't lift any of the label at all...see if you can spot it in the image provided??!!
Other than that the labels stand out nice and clean, with no writing or rips.
Outer rim text starts with "The Parlophone Co.Ltd"
NO "Recording First Published 1963"
NO "Sold In Uk..." text either
GENUINE RARER 3RD PRESS
Inner: NMINT!! Original "Use Emitex" inner....AND she has done her job keeping the record in fab condition!
One of the best EMITEX inners I have seen in years!
Cover: EX++ WOW!! I haven't seen an original old cover of this album in much better condition in years! Superbly looked after- VERY CLOSE TO MUSEUM PIECE HERE!!
The corners are superbly sharp.
The spine is wonderfully strong, clear and legible.
The flipbacks are straight out of a time-machine!
The ONLY thing is a handful of grubby little finger marks to the back card, near the opening.
