RECENTLY I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO ACCQUIRE AN OUTSTANDING COLLECTION OF BEATLES RARITYS IN FANTASTIC CONDITION. THE COLLECTION CONSISTED OF SOME OF THE RAREST RECORDS IN THE BEATLES CATALOGUE - BUT THIS HAS TO BE THE RAREST ITEM I FOUND - IT COULD EVEN BE UNIQUE!!!! IT IS AN INCREDIBLE 1ST PRESSING OF 'PLEASE PLEASE ME' BY THE BEATLES ON THE MEGA RARE BLACK AND GOLD LABEL AND IS IN STUNNING CONDITION!!!! HOWEVER THIS INCREDIBLY RARE LP IS RARE FOR 3 REASONS:- FIRSTLY IT IS A VERY VERY EARLY PRESSING OF 'PLEASE PLEASE ME' WITH THE 1ST PRESS BLACK & GOLD LABEL (DICK JAMES CREDITS), AND ORIGINAL 1ST PRESS COVER (ANGUS McBEAN - FAR RIGHT). SECONDLY THE RECORD AND SLEEVE ARE IN STUNNING CONDITION AND HAVE INCREDIBLY EARLY MOTHERS & STAMPERS (1/O & 1/GG - ONE OF THE FIRST 1000 PRESSED)!!!! AND THIRDLY - AND MOST IMPORTANTLY IS THAT THIS INCREDIBLE LP STILL HAS ITS ORIGINAL PLASTIC ADVERTISING LINER FROM BRIAN EPSTEINS OWN RECORD SHOP (NEMS) IN LIVERPOOL!!!! BRIAN EPSTEIN OF COURSE WAS THE BEATLES MANAGER AND THIS RECORD WAS BOUGHT FROM BRIAN EPSTEINS OWN RECORD SHOP IN WHITECHAPEL, LIVERPOOL (NEMS) IN THE VERY FIRST WEEK OF THE RELEASE OF 'PLEASE PLEASE ME' WAY BACK IN 1963!!!! THE PLASTIC ADVERTISING LINER WAS NOT INTENDED TO LAST LONG - ONLY TO PROTECT THE RECORD UNTIL IT GOT HOME FROM THE SHOP - SO HOW THIS LINER HAS LASTED 41 YEARS IS INCREDIBLE!!!! IT IS RARE TO FIND ANY LP WITH A RECORD SHOP ADVERTISING 'BAG' OR 'LINER' - BUT TO FIND ONE OF THE EARLIEST COPIES OF THE BEATLES 1ST LP, WITH AN ORIGINAL PLASTIC ADVERTISING LINER FROM THE MOST IMPORTANT BEATLES RELATED RECORD SHOP IN THE WORLD IS SURELY A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the VERY RARE Black & Gold MONO UK 1963 Pressing called 'Please Please Me' and is a VERY 1st Pressing with the 'Dick James' Credits to BOTH labels!!!! The E.J.Day Cover is also a VERY early 1st Pressing with the 'Angus Bean' photo credit set to the far right!!!! This is the ORIGINAL MONO UK 1st pressing from 1963 and is in STUNNING condition!!!! This is an ORIGINAL 1st Pressing with a Black & Gold Label (with the Dick James Credits) and is in brilliant condition. It also has 'The Parlophone Company' edge text, a ZT tax code, its ORIGINAL earlier E.J.Day Sleeve (with the Angus McBean credit over to the right) and a Polythene lined Emitex inner. The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The matrix numbers are XEX 421-1N & XEX 422-1N. The stamper codes are 1/O & 1/GG. THESE ARE INCREDIBLY EARLY MOTHERS AND STAMPERS AND SHOW THAT THIS WAS ONE OF THE FIRST 1000 COPIES EVER PRESSED!!!! The Cat. No is PMC 1202 on the ORIGINAL Black & Gold Parlophone label (see picture) and is a MONO 1st pressing!!!! All the tracks are Pure quality Beatles at their best!!!! Any fan of The Beatles, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!

The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!! LOOK AT THE PICTURES OF THE LABELS (see pictures) TOTALLY AWESOME!!!! The vinyl is in STUNNING condition for its age. As many collectors know - Black and Gold Records are the VERY hardest Beatles Pressings to find in anywhere near decent condition. Most are found damaged and barely playable. However this one is NOT!!!! This copy is in STUNNING condition and Side 2 in particular is AMAZING with NO scratches, NO hairlines and only a VERY few light paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! Side 1 is also in INCREDIBLE condition too - with NO scratches, just 2 tiny NON-SOUNDING lines, and only a VERY few light paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!! TOTALLY INCREDIBLE CONDITION FOR A BLACK & GOLD PRESSING AND DEFINTELY ONE OF THE VERY BEST I HAVE EVER FOUND!!!! THE RECORD RETAINS ALL OF ITS ORIGINAL SHINE AND GLOSS!!!! It is also great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, and NO crackle!!!! The record must grade visually Very Good++++ if not better though the playing grade is FULL Excellent!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 'thicker paper' POLYTHENE lined Emitex inner sleeve!!!!

THE MEGA RARE NEMS (Brian Epstein) PLASTIC ADVERTISING RECORD PROTECTOR IS IN AWESOME CONDITION FOR ITS AGE!!!! IT WAS ONLY MADE OF VERY VERY THIN POLYTHENE AND WAS ONLY INTENDED TO PROTECT THE RECORD HOME FROM THE RECORD SHOP - SO FOR IT TO SURVIVE 41 YEARS IS INCREDIBLE!!!! IT HAS NO SPLITS, NO TEARS, NO RIPS, AND JUST SOME TYPICAL LIGHT YELLOWING AND CRINKLING!!!! INCREDIBLE CONDITION AND TOTALLY UNIQUE - HOW MANY CAN SURVIVE TODAY????

The ORIGINAL E.J.Day (Angus McBean - far right) FLIPBACK Cover is in STUNNING condition for its age!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, slight corner wear (NO splits), a few creases (NO bends) and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is RAZOR straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back of the cover is in STUNNING condition with NO writing, NO grubbyness, and NO yellowing!!!! The cover must grade Very Good+ if not better!!!! THIS IS A TRULY UNIQUE ITEM AND ONE YOU WONT SEE AGAIN - DONT MISS OUT!!!!
