THE BEATLES INTRODUCING THE BEATLES Super Rare GENUINE 1964 VJ 1062 Ver 2 STEREO LP with Rare Sticker!
I have collected Beatles records and memorabilia for 55 years, and have sold on Ebay for over 10 years (100% rating).
From my personal collection, you're bidding on the very rare Introducing The Beatles STEREO Version 2. Included is the rare 1"x 21/2" white rectangular "STEREOPHONIC" sticker. Released in early February, 1964, VJ decided to re-use mono covers for the stereo version and simply placed a sticker on the front in order to save money. Stereo versions were much scarcer than their mono counterparts.
The cover is VG. At the top of the front cover, an owner has written inside the word "introducing..." with red pen. There is a red 1 3/4" pen line on the right. There is some ringwear present. The upper right corner has a bend. The corners are pushed and there is some paper loss. The original store price sticker is still affixed to the back cover. The sticker remains intact, with a tiny bend in the lower right corner. See photos for additional detail.
The record is VG. There is evidence of use, with fine, but unfeelable lines present on both sides. There is spindle wear that is evident under strong light. It is the all-black label with silver print and the large VJ logo with "Vee-Jay Records" printed underneath the logo. It has left-justified titles and credits and does not have "Long Playing" and "Microgroove" on the label. The deep circular indention located on each label indicates it was pressed in Indiana. This version is the ONLY stereo record of "Introducing The Beatles" without the colorband label!
