Description

An original Southern Plastics (Nashville, TN) pressed oval logo copy of the rare 1963 US Beatles 45 "From Me To You"/"Thank You Girl" (Vee- Jay VJ 522).  Released in May 1963, this 45 sold approximately 21,000 copies throughout the summer months of that year, thanks mainly to airplay in the Los Angeles area - even charting as high as # 32 on popular local Top 40 station KRLA’s Tune-Dex.  As a result, the Los Angeles pressing is relatively easy to find - not so with the Nashville pressing, which sold in much more modest amounts.

 

This 45 is very good plus, as are its labels, due to some wear on both sides.
