Scarce and highly collectible 1966 Japanese first pressing of Revolver, catalog OP-7600, pressed on the beautiful original translucent RED WAX and issued by Odeon / Toshiba Musical Industries.

This is an unusually complete example, retaining the original ¥1,750 blue stereo OBI, original OP-7600 lyric/liner insert, Toshiba Ever Clean / Ultra C advertising sheet, and the rarely retained OP-7600 ¥1,750 supplemental order slip.

VINYL: EX-

Beautiful original translucent red wax with excellent gloss. The record shows light superficial hairlines/sleeve marks visible under strong direct lighting, but no significant scratches observed. The photographs were deliberately taken under revealing lighting to show the vinyl accurately.

Original Odeon/Toshiba Musical Industries labels are exceptionally clean with very little visible spindle wear.

Deadwax / Matrices:

Side 1: YEX-605-2

Side 2: YEX-606-2

JACKET: VG+

Original OP-7600 jacket presents very nicely overall, particularly from the front. Artwork remains clean and attractive. No major writing or seam splits.

There is age-related edge and corner wear, most notably a bump/crush with some creasing and small paper loss at the lower rear corner. Some light age toning and handling wear are also present. Please see the detailed close-up photographs.

OBI: EX-

Original blue ¥1,750 STEREO Odeon OP-7600 OBI is complete and displays beautifully. Excellent blue color and strong printing with relatively minor age toning/handling wear.

ORIGINAL LYRIC / LINER INSERT: VG+

Original OP-7600 Japanese/English insert is complete. Shows some age-related toning, light spotting and normal handling wear.

TOSHIBA EVER CLEAN / ULTRA C INSERT: VG+

Original Toshiba Musical Industries advertising sheet is included. Complete with some age-related creasing and handling wear.

OP-7600 SUPPLEMENTAL ORDER SLIP: VG+

Also included is the seldom-retained original Toshiba supplemental order form specifically marked OP-7600 / Revolver / ¥1,750. A particularly nice piece of original ephemera and an excellent completeness feature for the serious Japanese Beatles collector.
