1st PRESSING FROM 1966 PARLOPHONE PMC 7009

WITH THE ALL IMPORTANT MATRIXES OF:

SIDE 1 XEX 605-2

SIDE 2 XEX 606-1

Here is an extremely rare copy of the Beatles LP 'Revolver'. This is rare because it carries the XEX 606-1 matrix number on side 2, meaning that it contains the 'remix 11' version of Tomorrow Never Knows rather than the standard 'remix 9' that soon replaced it at John Lennon's request to George Martin the producer..
The one thing that makes this LP so desirable is, the alternative mix of 'Tomorrow Never Knows'. This variation doesn't appear on any other LP or album.. Luckily for us a small number of the original mixes were distributed before the changes were made

Klaus Voormann's front cover design is a work of art in its own right,complimented by the craftmanship of the Ernest J. Day printed and made sleeve, not forgetting the back cover photography by Robert Whitaker which makes this album as instantly recognisable from both the front and the back...

This sleeve for all of its 39 years is holding up quite well..the front is vg a few minor laminate creases on the edges..the rear has the top flap with a little wear,the other two are in fine condition..there is a small amount of record ring wear and a few shiny line marks [see pics]

Most importantly there are no signs of any writing on this cover

inner The usual poly-lined Emitex inner sleeve in vg condition just a little corner creasing --no rips or tears

vinyl Thick type vinyl shows signs of being well played lots of surface marks but nothing too serious and the labels are very clear and bright with very little spindle marks

HAVING JUST READ THE RECORD COLLECTORS GRADING SYSTEM GUIDE ,AND TO ERR ON THE CONSERVATIVE SIDE,I WOULD CLASSIFY THIS ALBUM AS GOOD-V/G
