Description
The Beatles ...PCS 7009..Stereo......... 1966 Revolver
YEX 505-1...YEX 506-1.....
mother stamps.. Side 1..1-po... Side 2 ...3-ap.......
contains the "doctor robert" label credit whereas sleeve as "dr robert".."KT" embossed tax code..."Patents Pending" sleeve..."Gramophone" credit..."Sold in the U.K." etc
A true first press...in what can only be described as beautiful condition....deep shine vinyl under strong light shows only the barest signs of its 47 year age....
Side 1 one looks totaly clean...Side 2 shows around 3 or 4 very light hairlines...
labels are very clean & sharp...a few Spindle marks, plays stunning, bright clear stereo...with production detail I had never noticed before....no loud crackle at intros or even between tracks, no sticks, (obviously pickle bum!!) ..I`m playing it now...
beautiful crystal clear harmonies on "Here, there and everywhere" & "I`m only sleeping"...
the only fault I can find is at the intro & sporadic passages of "For no one" .. there are light clicks... NOT great clunking things...just light repetitive sporadic light clicks...THEY DO NOT SPOIL THE OVERALL SOUND OF TRACK...bummer I know ...but I`m not known for being the "Honest Gorgon" for nothing!!
The Vinyl is so shiney that if you look at picture 3...you can see my two fingers reflected on run out grooves...where I was holding the camera...
Sleeve (tri foldback)....with "stereo" credit at front right top corner, tight & square, no laminate loss..spine fully legible..excellent
as already stated as the true 1st "Patents Pending" text at rear bottom right corner, alas, at this corner there is evidence of fold damage...see 5th picture ..
Sorry!! "Yellow (bleeding) Submarine" as just come on....can't stand it...turn it off, turn it off..!!!!
that's better...."She said she said" crystal clear...
As a plain white inner poly lined sleeve with "British patent No, 800518....made in england 097."
lets recap....a really lovely copy of this historic lp...regarded by many as their best, though not mint, its in EXCELLENT CONDITION ++ showing the barest evidence of its nearly 50 year heritage......
ohhhhh, the guitar intro to "And your bird can sing" alright Mick, as just come on...divine....
Please forgive the quality of photos`...I have never, ever, claimed to be David Bailey....though I wish I was....you seen the birds he's knocked around with....lucky bleeder.....no quibble return policy............
