BEATLES - RUBBER SOUL . 1st U.K. STEREO PCS 3075 178-2/179-2. 1G/1GH. VG. Warped.
This is one of the very first stereo copies to be pressed with the incredibly early 1G and 1GH stampers.
Original sleeve in strong VG condition with only minor wear to edges and fully intact and readable spine
Record surfaces are VG+ with only a few minor scuffs.
Unfortunately there is a significant warp to the record - see picture 8.
Amazingly, at least on my turntable, both sides played through without skipping or jumping. Also no clicks and only minimal occasional crackles. The tracking weight on my system is quite heavy at 2g, which might account for the successful playback. A different system might have issues.
Sonically side one was VG+ and side 2 was excellent.
So, a first issue copy of an iconic album with the ultra desirable 1G stamper for side 1 .
