ALBUM PLAYED FOR AUDIO GRADING:
The Loud Cut Rubber Soul is a real rarity, and this has to be the loudest cut I have ever heard. The audio has a few minor blemishes, but on the whole plays with incredibly strong, clear LOUD sound. Superb audio, every minute and track has been tested and I will give a detailed account. There is some light occasional static, and it is light and very occasional. Wonderful TOP audio, NO sticks or jumps what so ever, and minimal sound between the tracks.
There are 5 light clicks between track 1 and 2,- 'Drive My Car', and 'Norwegian Wood', but four of these are in the silent run in. There are occasional light tics but as I have said they are very light and the music is so clear and bright. 'No Where Man' plays with perfect audio. "Michele', always a real test for Rubber Soul plays with NO clicks or pops, but for some strange reason does play with distortion. I say this is strange because there is not a trace of distortion anywhere else on the record.
The music jumps out, with definition and clarity, particularly on the percussion instruments, and vocals which come through with tremendous power. As with the bass guitar and drums, whilst the guitars come through crisp and clear.
This great record plays up to the visual grading and beyond. Its a very enjoyable and extremely loud press of this ultra rare vinyl. There are a few marks and sound blemishes (each one listed above) but it is still a great highly collectable piece.
A great all round example of this classic vinyl. This is a great Audio pleasure and I would have to give the Audio at least a VERY GOOD PLUS to EXCELLENT grading.
THE RECORD -
A stunning piece of glossy vinyl. Almost entirely unmarked. NO hairlines and absolutely NO scratches. a couple of the faintest handling marks only. A really wonderful and extremely rare example.
THE RECORD - VISUAL GRADING -
A lovely piece of HEAVY glossy vinyl. Deep clear grooves that can only be found on the original early pressings. The record has great shine. There are about 5 light hairlines on side 1 and about 5 very small light scuffs. On side 2 there are a few very light handling marks only. I dont normally offer vinyl that have any marks on them, but this is such a collectable piece, with great sound, and still a very presentable vinyl. I would give this s strict grading of VERY GOOD PLUS.
VINYL TESTED FOR ANY SIGNS OF WARPING:
Yes, NONE visible what so ever when tested be sight and on a moving turntable.
LABELS - EXCELLENT
Splendid deeply coloured attractive examples. Very little wear around the hole areas, with with just some light fading and just a few light spindle traces to be found. This still fits very tightly around the record spindle. Great examples.
COVER -
Comes with original UK sleeve printed by Garrod & Lofthouse. This is a great complete example of the brilliant Rubber Soul cover. Laminated on the front only, and with the 1st press MONO / STEREO assignation on the rear bottom flip-back, stating PMC 1267 and PCS 3075. These covers rarely fared well, usually having heavy ring wear and tears, with a lot of yellowing to the background. Not this one! It has no tears or splits, again very hard to find.
It has absolutely minimal rubbing to the corners, and none to the spine, which is largely square and true, with all the text complete in tact. Unbelievable and impossibly rare like this!
The rear cover has virtually no discolouration or fading (clearly shown in the images) and NO ring wear, stains, writing, tears or sticker marks.
A wonderful original first press example and extremely rare in this condition. There are a few creases on the font and a small laminate crack on the top right hand edge corner, but I would say these are mild and would happily give this a strict EXCELLENT minus grading.
INNER
Comes with The Original First Press Inner Sleeve with Polythene Lining, intact and in great condition. States: "USE EMITEX..." & "IMPORTANT - TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR MICROGROOVE RECORDS ...", as well as a replacement inner sleeve for added protection EXCELLENT condition, - NO tears around the die cut opening, NO seem splits and NO wear at the top. Just some light discolouration. A great example.

GREAT VINYLS WITH NO LOUD CLICKS OR POPS, NO JUMPS OR REPEATS - GUARANTEED!
SCRUPULOUS EXAMINATION and TESTING; PLEASE NOTE:
This record has been play tested to ensure the sound quality and accuracy of description. I aim to give a precise and concise description of the sound quality, pointing out any defects so that you know what you are bidding on. I will not go into screeds of information about nature of the songs, as I imagine that you already know them well. I aim to describe all items as accurately as possible, and offer a full refund on return if for any reason you are not completely happy with the item description.
VINYL SOUND - PLEASE NOTE:
Top quality vinyl with clear sound is rare, and is what I always aim for. Even with the cleanest copies you will find occasional static sound during playback, caused by a build of dust in the grooves. This is clearly different from the distortion, loud pops or clicks that are found on heavily played and worn pieces of vinyl. Any static build up will reduce when played, and I advise a light clean should be given between plays for optimal performance.

MINT: Virtually unplayed. The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover is pristine.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
V.G PLUS: The record will still be nice and shiny, but may have a few light marks, and will play well. Slight wear and tear on the cover.
V.G: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, etc.
FAIR: Fair. It is noticeable that the record has been played so much that the sound quality has deteriorated very noticeably. The cover and contents are showing signs of folding, scuffing of edges etc.
