BEATLES RUBBER SOUL MONO SERIF LABELS 1st -4/-4 PCS 3075 PARLOPHONE VINYL LP VG/VG
For sale is a rare original 1965 UK mono 1st pressing of The Beatles' seminal 1965 album "Rubber Soul" with very rare early SERIF FONT.
The very first copies of rubber soul were released with a loud mix that the Beatles were not happy with. The first copies of the better, satisfactory mix (on this pressing) were released with the wrong SERIF font on the labels, a mistake which was quickly rectified. These labels are very special and every other version has non-SERIF labels - the serif version is very difficult to find.
A solid playable copy of this very desirable collectible record.
Detailed grading as follows.
Sleeve: VG to EX-
The superb glossy flipback Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is graded VG to EX- with only minor acceptable storage wear to corners and edges. The bottom right corner is neatly creased and there is some rubbing to edges, but there are NO splits, tears or writing. The glossy laminate finish remains shiny and vibrant.
A very neat sleeve with only acceptable storage wear and no worrying faults.

Side 1 Matrix: XEX-579-4
Side 2 Matrix: XEX-580-4
There are a fair few light hairlines to both sides with a couple of non-worrying scuffs. NO deep marks or scratches that can be felt with a fingertip, and the record plays very well. These early Beatles pressings are renowned for their quality deep-grooves. There is some faint spindling to each label. Overall a record which shows signs of play but that still sounds great with no major faults.
The original emitex inner is in EX condition with some corner creases but no splits or tears.
Overall this is a great copy of this masterpiece record!
