This is a very clean second pressing of the Beatles "Rubber Soul" on Parlophone. The mono discs feature the "normal" cut matrixes: XEX 579-5/XEX580-5. Identified in "Beatles For Sale On Parlophone Records" by Bruce Spizer and Frank Daniels as PAR1267.MR1A(iii). Sans serif type face and other label variations indicate that it was the first pressing AFTER the "Loud Cut"production and before the Times New Roman font type face was added to the label printing machines. Disc is in excellent condition; plays very clean with no skips and minimal background noise. Jacket is in excellent condition and includes the photo of George in a cowboy hat with a "cigarette burn" included in the photo. This was later removed in later printings. Jacket states printed by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd., London.
